Review Java Kai - Kapaa

This place is so so aesthetically pleasing and cute! Good: - All the food is so beautifully presented here! - I loved the açaí bowl, the coconut flakes added a lot and it wasn’t too sweet! Huge portion size too - Wicked monkey smoothie was good, a little wonky so I wouldn’t get it again since it was sweet and bitter at the same time - The avocado toast here was really good! Super good texture and crunchy as well - The brekkie bowl was really pretty, loved the taste of papaya Bad: - The wait was pretty long for the food - Only outdoor seating, they ran out of spots inside Overall had a solid meal here, enjoyed the aesthetic the most.

Great place for coffee and breakfast/lunch! If you like real cappuccino (European standard) this is the place. They can make (but you have to ask for 8 oz) small cappuccino with a lot of foam. The food is good too. There are few healthy options to choose from. The service is great. Everybody is very nice. I was there with my husband and friend. We ordered lunch and coffees. They forgot about my husband order but when he went to ask for it they made id very fast and the manager gave him their signature cookie for the wait. The cookie was delicious although obviously not that healthy ;) but the next day we bought three of these cookies. :D Good marketing! I really recommend this place!

This was recommended by several vbloggers on YouTube. We drove from Poipu and it was worth it. The breakfast meals had their own unique flair. Enjoyed the Kalakau Avo and Surfer Girl sandwich. The hibiscus 🌺 iced tea was good and the coffee was REALLY GOOD!! There is limited seating, so be aware of that.

Very much a Kauai vibe. Best place on island for handcrafted drinks and a breakfast. Acai Bowl is my go to everytime I go. The avocado toast is pretty spectacular as well.

One of the best breakfasts on the island! Mac nut latte and Vietnamese coconut coffee was bold and delicious. The bagel sandwiches are a must - could eat the cream cheese out of a bowl with a spoon! The aloha bar was also great. Quick service despite them being quite busy. Highly recommend!

Coffee was really good, got an iced americano which was strong and flavorful. The matcha latte was excellent as well. The waffle was good, definitely on the seeet side, we didn’t even use the syrup. The surfer girl sandwich was great. Blueberry muffin was good too. Seemed busy every time we went there, would go back again!

A fabulous find for breakfast! I ordered the homemade pesto bagel which was amazing and the coffee was good too. It was a nice relaxed beach vibed cafe with interesting options on the menu. A queue formed pretty quickly so table space was tight!

I didn’t have any of the food so I cannot rate that, but the staff and the general atmosphere was exactly what I needed in the mornings. Overall I struggled to find a decent coffee in Ka’paa but Java Kai hit the mark. I would definitely be a regular if I lived nearby. I did have to laugh at the spelling of my name though. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😂

Wonderful cafe!! We had a good, filling breakfast here on a day filled with activities on the island. The croi-sean-wich & the dilly egg sandwich were both great!! The bagel was so fresh, the best we've ever had!! The coffees were good too. We met a few other travelers who said they've been having their breakfast at Java Kai regularly over years of travel! Nice!!

This place is delicious and so cute and so popular. Come early or just expect to stand in line for a bit. The surfer girl breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, spinach on a bagel with a tasty little side salad was great. They have special drink options regularly like a strawberry matcha latte with chunks of berries in it. Seating is limited, but turns over quick enough.

Awesome, filling breakfast! We had the polish sausage breakfast sandwich (seasoned to be very similar to chorizo, very delicious), and the sandwich with pesto and feta, which I ate on fluffy ciabatta. Lattes were delicious too. Ordered online and picked up on time from the window at the back of the building. Little pricey, but on par with local prices generally and probably one of the better meals we had. Would go back!

Went based on a rec from a friend, amazing menu and the blended coffees were delish! Mo feta bagel was so yum, plus such a cute cafe and clothing store next door. Graphics on all the cups are so cute, 5 stars all round

Favorite breakfast spot, great smoothies, yummy breakfast—waffles were a bit sweet, however we enjoyed everything else we tried! Great Thai coffee, Mac Nut Latte, Black Lava Smoothie (light, creamy, not sweet). Favorite food was the Power Bowl. Went here multiple times during our stay. Grab your food and then sit in the nearby beach to enjoy!

We had breakfast at Java Kai every day during our vacation. Great food, service, and prices. The staff is incredibly friendly

This was the best breakfast spot around! We got 4 entrees between 3 of us because we wanted to try so many different ones. They were all very delicious and unique. I also got a golden milke latte that was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this place as a place to get breakfast or lunch, just arrive early as it will get busy around 8:30-9am

Sometimes I forget to eat or drink water and find myself in a state of hangry confusion. My husband senses these states and took me to Java Kai. The nice barista took my order which I'm sure was barely coherent and she even filled up my water bottle (which yeah I'm always dehydrated). I got a iced chai latte and the island goddess salad. Once again, this food brought me back from the edge which is why I am writing this review. The salad was perfectly lightly dressed with big carrot slices and even bigger croutons. The menu explained there was shaved egg, which I didn't understand at first but now that I've eaten it I wish there was more of it. My hubbo had the surfer girl sandwich and a smoothie, and ofc I ate some of that too and it was amazing. 5 stars, going back again tomorrow for the homemade pop tart and a sticker 👌

Such delicious matcha (I ordered with coconut milk and honey) and coffee (my husband got iced oatmilk latte unsweetened). We were both blown away! 👌🏼. Can't wait to go back tomorrow and try some of the food.

Delicious breakfast spot! I got the “Kalalau Avo”. Tasty and filling. It was crowded and a bit of a wait but worth it. You can also order online.
