This was my favorite food place on the island! We even came back a second time (in a week). Such a fun mix of Southern food with Hawaiian ingredients and flare. I've been dreaming about the Notorious P.I.G. since!
This was a great find on our vacation. The food was excellent, with hearty southern style cuisine fused with a little Hawaiian flavor. The staff was friendly and were genuinely excited about the food they offered. The restaurant had a consistent stylistic theme throughout. We enjoyed it so much we'll likely be going again tomorrow to try one of the other offerings from the menu. Overall fantastic breakfast spot.
AMAZING breakfast!! The Loco Moco has the best flavor! The waffle in the Wake & Bake, true to its word, tasted like cereal. We sat at the bar and the service was pheNOMenal. We went on a Wednesday, when they have Whiskey Wednesday. So at 8:30 am, I got the Whiskey Smash for $6 and it was great! I can’t recommend Nom Kauai enough!! Must visit!
Nom is super chill and very good. Almost reminds me of an ATX vibe with the “Keep Brunch Weird” sign hanging inside. They can get busy but it is worth the wait. Very refreshing concept to make it to Kauai.
Atmosphere: The music was excellent playing all upbeat songs. You could even hear one of the chefs in the back singing at the top of his lungs. While some may find this annoying it actually was lots of fun. Everyone was smiling and having a good time. The place was PACKED! The wait wasn’t too bad but this is a popular destination for brunch.
Food: We had The Notorious P.I.G. and Porky Hash w/ side of bacon. Both dishes were excellent. The sauce may have been a little heavy on the Porky Hash but still very enjoyable meal.
Drinks: Had Mimosa Monday - $5!!! Can’t beat that here in Kauai.
Parking: For their locating right now it’s super easy. Lots of parking because right next to Big Save grocery store.
We ate here 3 times, and everyone tried something different each visit. We were very happy with the food, service, and atmosphere. If you're in Kauai, you should consider eating here. It's fantastic!
If you're wanting a heavy breakfast on kauai, come here! Chicken and waffles are amazing! And I've have some good ones down here in Houston! Drinks are good! I'll definitely be back here next time I visit the island.
So good! I had the Southern Chick- A perfectly seasoned & fried piece of chicken on a biscuit with fried egg on top then surrounded with delicious spicy gravy. My only knock would be -give a little more gravy! Hubs had biscuits & gravy also with egg on top! Plan on returning to have a burger & shake!
YOU MUST EAT HERE! Nom was probably the most impressive menu we saw on the island. Very unique menu options. We were only able to go for breakfast and we wanted everything on the menu. My wife had some nutella cream cheese French toast. Loved it. I had the cheddar jalapeno corn bread waffle with maple aju, pork belly and an sunny side egg. Heard from others that the burgers were the best. FYI closed Tuesday.
Amazing food. Was within walking distance of our apartment. Staff is friendly and helpful to tourists. You really can't go wrong whatever you order. It's delish!
Unique menu. We went to NOM four times in a week because the food was wonderful and we wanted to try everything on their enticing menu. We didn't get to try everything but everything we had was really good.
