El Pollo Guasave is nothing to look at, but is the chicken delicious! It’s a simple menu: number 1 is a whole chicken, number 2 is half. Both come with beans, rice, corn tortillas, salsa, and pickled onions. The chicken is marinated and grilled deliciousness.
Fantastico!. This place is a hidden gem! Wow. Crispy, sticky chicken with amazing seasonings that had me digging for more! And friend and I got a whole chicken, a side of beans, side of rice and 2 cups of pico as well as homemade corn tortillas. I think it was $13.00 with tax.
This pollo is a GEM -- hope it sticks around. And what a sweet owner! Ever since I went I've been craving it but I think he's only open Thursday - Sunday.
I had the medio. Chicken was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. Rice and beans were spot on. Rode my (electric) bike 11 miles for lunch and rode back. Nice, tasty, and healthy lunch that didn’t weigh me down. Only wish they would put a picnic table where the broken down minivan is because there wasn’t a place to sit and eat.
You can get really tasty grilled chicken taco fixings here. We ordered two #1s and an extra salsa. Three of us ate plenty of chicken and have leftovers for later. The chicken isn't spicy, but just has a really good flavor. My only slight complaint is that the beans and rice that comes with the meal is a smaller portion. However, everything is so yummy that I'll just order extra sides for next time. This is a to go only place and has reduced days of being open. The staff was friendly and the food is cooked right where you can watch. We will definitely come back.
Very delicious grilled chicken. The beans and rice are so good and different than your regular rice and beans. You can order either a half or a whole chicken, that comes with a small rice and a small beans with corn tortillas and very good salsa. They have some other sides to choose from. The prices are so reasonable that getting a whole chicken with the fixings is a great value!
Best chicken and fresh salsa.
This place is a must visit. Okay, you either order a half a chicken, or a full chicken. You get a side of beans, some tortillas, and some rice, an a toasted Jalapeño. It is amazing. The chicken is char broiled, with a special blend of.... I don't know what..... almost like orange zest. It is a must taste. There is no chicken like this one in KC.
There is two really great joints in Kc for grilled chicked but In my opinion this takes #1 for best Smoked chicken. Their chicken is super marinated and a lot more juicier than other places. Every order comes with Rice, beans, tortillas, spicy sauce and a grilled jalapeno. This and El Pollo Rey are the two places to get Mexican chicken in the 'dotte.
This place has the best chicken. The flavor is amazing. Honestly this place is 10 times better than El Pollo Rey. On all levels!!! If you haven't tried it you're missing out!!
Best tasting chicken in KC, also like their mild salsa, definitely recommended.
