Found this place by searching for "Best Mexican restaurant Kansas City". Well after having dinner and then breakfast there outs hard to argue! Huge portions at decent prices ans that would be enough as long as the food was decent. It goes way above 'decent'. My wife and I will only return to a place that has really good chips and salsa.... and this place definitely has that! In fact it's some of the best salsa I've had in a long time. Mama Tio's also has outstanding burritos and awesome tacos. The enchiladas are also really really good!

Update! Called in an order in the middle of the day. Same lady who kept my change didn't want to take my order.. ReThe customer service is pretty good I've already had breakfast here but I enjoy going as fast quick and I can make it to my bus on time, to make it to work. Breakfast burritos so big you will have enough left for lunch. But the biscuits and gravy won't make it too much out the door it's my favorite.
Lunch deal on Friday, very filling. Chicken fajita burrito, 7.99. Wait staff very friendly and efficient on my visit.
This is a great little lunch spot and after work place. Cheeseburgers are awesome! I know it sounds funny at a Mexican place but they are great. Taco Tuesday is a great deal and the Chicken Quesadilla is one of my favs. Good service and great drink specials. Stop in and have a beer or a margarita. They are strong. The only place I know where the owner is always there open until close. Don't forget to stop in for a quick breakfast!
The beer is cold and the margaritas are delicious! If you are looking for scrumptious salsa, tacos for days and enchiladas that will make you order them over and over again then Mama Tio's is your place. Mama Tio's has become the taco Tuesday headquarters for my friends and I! We are always greeted with a smile and the servers do an amazing job. The food is excellent and they often introduce new varieties of menu options giving you the chance to try something new and their low prices make it the best deal I've found in the area. Overall a very welcoming atmosphere and a great spot to meetup with friends!
Love the burgers, chicken strips and tamales. They have a new cheese sauce (I dip my strips in it) that's to die for. I eat here so much I know everyone which makes it even more enjoyable for me. I'm not a burger person. In fact I eat them nowhere other than here. They're awesome
Tio’s downtown is a great lunch spot. The food is very good and they have daily specials. I think their chicken quesadilla is one of the best in town.

Its better than the "wrap" Mexican restaurant in town pavilion. The food is good. The service is fast and the portions are actually satisfying.You have plenty of food left over for later and the chips and hot salsa are really good. They serve breakfast too. The wrap place in town pavilion is so stingy....the food is decent but not for what u pay. And the wrap place charges extra for pico. Really?
