Great service and great food. Our daughter is Autistic and she only eats certain things. The waitress had the kitchen make a grilled cheese for her even though it isn't on the menu. It really made her night thank you so much. We will definitely be back
Our waitress was a peach. I really enjoyed the service. And the welcoming environment. It gave me a small town feel. They were done serving and she gave me peanut pretzels our of her personal stash I believe. I thought that was the sweetest thing. I will definitely be back.
Staff is always nice and willing to talk with you. Food is very good and reasonable priced with good portions. Drinks and beer super cheap compared to most bars and a dam good pour at that. The fried mushrooms are GREAT as is the pork tenderloin. Everything is scratch made and it shows. The steak special is good, not great, but for $11 with a side it is what it is.
Would not take carryout orders during dinner hours. I even offered to come in, order - and wait for it. She did say that if I ordered a drink at the bar, maybe she'll do it. I don't drink.
They've allowed phone-in orders every time - until today.
Well, cooler minds prevail. If this happens again during non-dinner hours, then it will be a 1-star review. The food has been excellent; if you're down to 1 Cook - then I would understand. Communication is key. We'll give it another try. Thank you for clarifying.
I had a great time when I stopped in for lunch. I later found out I was being served by the owner herself who was very nice and gave me great service. The food came out hot and delicious and exactly as I ordered. Never had to wait for a refill on my drink either. You also get a lot of (good) food for the coin too. I had a BBQ grilled chicken sandwich with fries for $8. This place is really large too so I'd imagine no one ever feels crowded on the weekend nights. Their game room is large as well and has a ton of stuff including a very new looking shuffleboard table! I'll be returning for sure.
A quirky bar in the middle of Gladstone. The bartenders and servers are generally personable and fun! Even though the staff continuously rotates, the service is consistently good. The bar food is pretty good, but the options are limited. There are a variety of bar games and pool tables as well! It's an excellent place to watch the game, people watch, and enjoy a few drinks.
I really like the food here. The tenderloin sandwich is friggin bomb and the blue cheese burger is always tasty. Menu prices are pretty on point as well. The only thing keeping me from doing 5 stars is the service is so-so. Depending on who you get your experience will be different. Still, it's nothing that keeps me from wanting to stop by here for dinner.
Stopped by the new location today to watch the game and do some work. Such a nice, clean place. Lots of TV's, very inviting and staff and bartender were great! Cold beer and the chicken Nachos were the best I have had! Definitely will be back!
There many things in Northland that are great, but local restaurants aren't one of them; truthfully, the choices are super-limited outside of your classic fast-food fare. But if you'd like a really good steak, hand-crafted sandwiches or great burgers at a price that doesn't break the bank then you should check out Tanner's. Their servers work hard to earn your business and their kitchen staff are turning out quality food at a reasonable price. We are not from Kansas City, but have dined here many times, and its clear that the owner has worked really hard to make their food program as good as it is. I also want to compliment our regular server Katie and the Chef, Dominick (Dom), who regularly prepares our meals with the same pride, effort, and skill as places like Antons, Novel, and the Chop House downtown. Take time to visit them on Thursday and have a great steak at a great price!
My niece had her Gender reveal party there. It was my first time. We had a good time! It's a boy by the way LOL I recommend the loaded waffle fries! Yummmmm! The nachos not so much. I do have a recommendation to the restaurant. If you are charging for the Party room (which was plenty of space) then you probably should have more than 1 waitress for 40+ people and the only waitress for the entire restaurant, have special party pricing if people order from your menu, a little brighter lights, and we didn't smell it til we left but there was a strong sewage smell in the main restaurant area.
