Fantastic experience. A bit of a wait for the food, but a very hipster space with kind staff, fun self-serve beverages, and absolutely outstanding sandwiches and fries. The fried chicken sandwich is an obvious standout but the burgers were delicious, too. Wonderful place to stop for lunch.

Howard's is an extremely cute place to have lunch.
Parking like always in downtown is extremely cumbersome, but there is about 5 or so areas near the resturant. Once you find parking walking into the resturant is refreshing as you get to walk through a garden area where Howard's grows some of what they sell. As you walk into the resturant to your right there are shelves that have many local products. Howard's does a great job changing their menu as well. We had the hamburger and BLT both amazing!
The staff was very friendly and helpful in selections. We will for sure visit again.

Stopped in on a Thursday during the lunch hour. Very little wait and easy seating. Ordered the soup and salad and it hit the spot. The soup had some corn bread croutons that really took the texture up a notch. The salad was fresh and delicious and in perfect portions. An easy recommendation.

Overall a very solid place to grab lunch. Plenty of seating and street parking to accomadate getting in and out quickly.
I had the burger and fries, the burger was good but needed a little more seasoning for me. The fries were the best I have had in the city, perfectly cooks and crispy.
I will be back to try the remainder of the menu soon.

Might be the best burger I've had in KC (which is saying something). It wasn't particularly unique but every element was perfect. A lot like the cafe itself, nothing seems like it's trying too hard and everything works together well. The fries were also stellar. I'll definitely be back.

Really cute place! Love all the windows. Pretty modern feel. Homey. Got the veggie burger. It was pretty fantastic. A bit too much bun🍔 lol that thing is fat haha. But the fries 🍟are also amazing. ☺️

Best veggie burger I've had yet! Most veggie burgers are too mealy and taste like cardboard. This one had great texture and the flavors were spot on.The pickles, cheese and sauce all added great flavors. I also had the Radish soup, it was creamy and satisfying for a cold day. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic food! I just ordered a fried chicken sandwich to go, and I gotta say...pretty damn good. The ingredients are creative, fresh, and well prepared. I like how simple the menu is, and the staff is always friendly. This is a new spot in town, and I'm hoping more people spread the word. There's not a lot in the way of seating (14 seats I think), but this makes a great carry out option in the crossroads.

Went here with my son during Burger Week. Nice little $5 burger with preserved tomatoes, bacon and cream cheese. Mine was a tad over cooked but the flavored melded together well and the bun was toasty and chewy at the same time. Fries were like some sort of Kennebec potato, crispy and clean tasting well seasoned. Place is cozy yet bright and has communal seating in the center and side counters as well. I enjoyed it. Would return

Really good fresh food. This place does a lot of things right from the really good Ketchup to the little cookie I got, delicious. I had the fried chicken sandwich. Loved it. The special mayo was a nice touch. Staff is really friendly as well. Finally as of now there is no happy hour, but their drink prices r barely more than typical happy hour anyway so don't let that hold u back.

I do believe Howard's has the best fries in town and that chicken sandwich is to die for. I already knew he had the best burger and specials. I've never been disappointed in any food prepared by this crew. Besides that it is such a happy place.

Great first experience there with VegLife - Kansas City! I'm vegan and had their veggie burger—delicious! And their ketchup is how ketchup SHOULD taste, by the way � Staff was so kind and fun. And their house margarita was sooo good!!! Really great place to go :)

Been here twice. Both times were wonderful. The staff couldn't be friendlier and I love the shared tables and intimate space. The emphasis on fresh and local is what I look for, so this place knocks it out of the park. Small menu but plenty to choose from. I will be back!

All I've had so far is the veggie burgers and fries. tasted great. The only problem I had was my veggie burger fell apart and had to be eaten with a fork. I'm sure they'll find a way to fix it. The service is great! Everybody was friendly and had a smile on their face.
