Great food! Great environment! Small and intimate space. I am in love with their sweet plantains. The size varies but they have never been anything other than delicious for me.
I usually get the tacos (Zoe Pound & Deep Sea) but they season everything perfectly! 4 Stars!
We were bored with everything on DoorDash and looking for something different.We'd never heard of this restaurant, but we decided to try it and I'm super glad that we did. My only regret is that I didn't grab any of the sweet plantains too.
I had Carnival chicken which is curry chicken with brown rice and veggies. My wife had the Island Love pork bowl, but we also had to try a beef patty, a chicken patty, Jamaican co co bread, and spicy guava wings.
With the first bite of wings my wife's nose started running and she grew up in Miami with spicy foods from all kinds of cultures; those wings were no joke!
Everything was amazing. Definitely 10 out of 10 and we will order again.
You must try this amazing establishment, you will not regret it. The food is delicious! We ordered the Beach party (fried tilapia 🤤) bowl and the island life (jerk Chicken) bowl both were SUPER FRESH AND FLAVORFUL!!!! We also got some chips and salsa, sweet plantains and a meat patty (chicken), omg! We loved every single thing. The owners were very friendly and the restaurant is super cute! We also picked up some juices, pineapple ginger and mango carrot. We will be back! Sorry about the photos we got excited and inhaled the meat pie.😬 And yes they have bowls and tacos but this IS nothing like the bowls and tacos you are used to. GO NOW!
Food was great, not the most flavorful jerk chicken bowl but still good. Their juices they make are very good! Lots of options to try it out multiple times. It is kind of hidden but you’ll see the menu pictures outside the door.
This is a new restaurant, and I LOVED IT!! The food was amazing and the restaurant although small, feels as if you are tranpsorted to the Caribbean!! The food is Chipotle style, but way better!!! It is authentic in taste and option and I would recommend everyone come abd try. I had a Beach party without Tilapi and sub Brown curried rice. 🍛 I cannot explain how wonderful my mouth felt as it took every bite of that wonderful food. 😋 I also had a buttery flaky veggie pattie. Stop reading and go try this place, you won't be disappointed.
This is my new eating spot. Better than Chipotle in my opinion because everything taste so good. I had ordered beach life bowl and taco trio bowl. The rice is fully cooked yummy. I highly recommend this new restaurant.
The coconut curry in the carnival meal was seasoned and spiced just right. There was another Caribbean place in the area, but they didn't have the beef patties like this restaurant. You all saved the day. I will be coming back when I visit again. The woman that greeted me at the register even offered to pop my coke bottle open. Many thanks!
Small space. Food was pretty good, but a tad bit pricey (about $45 for two bowls and two bottle drinks). I’ll likely be back to try the wings.
A great & fresh take on Caribbean cuisine.... Hot,fresh and made to order from the wings to the bowls. YO! the beef n chicken patties were every bit of amazing!!! 😋😋😋
You know when something is so yummy that you need to stop immediately and go write a review? That’s how my meal from Taste Island Grill made me feel. I ordered the Beach Party, Tilapia Fish Bowl. It was insanely good - the right level of spice, huge piece of tilapia that was super fresh, and the best tasting sweet plantains. I cannot wait to go back and get this again! Also, they do an incredible job with their carry out orders. So impressed.
