Really amazing service, dined on my own as was in town for work, and could decide so left everything in the capable hands of the server (sorry I didn't catch your name!) But wow, food was hot, came quickly and the entire place had a great atmosphere and welcome. Very clean and great drinks selection too. Recommended to colleagues and will be visiting next time I am in KC.
Very clean, cool vibes, guests are welcome to stick stickers (on metal surfaces). The food is fantastic! Poblano salsa is always served up, and they rotate the hot salsa between 4 varieties.
All dishes served up family-style for an engaging, yummy time enjoying good company! We will definitely be back!
Clean and upbeat venue that I visited for lunch with a coworker. Location is nice, service was quick. Somewhat unlike some of the more traditional “Mexican” joints, tacos are ala carte and plaza pricing. Chips are not complimentary, but are actually quite nice with two types of salsa. They have several beers available, not that I did or did not have a beer at lunch. Staff was helpful and friendly, but if ordering, make sure and read the menu. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it actually came with vegan meat. I did not anticipate that, but it tasted nice so I decided, unfortunately to give it a go and it tore me up. Not their fault, just be forewarned, don’t assume vegetarian means vegetables.
This was a good taco joint. The tacos weren't my favorite, but to be fair I'm used to street tacos and I guess this are a little more 'upscale'. 😅 My favorite was the habenero shrimp 🍤 The street corn and cilantro rice were my favorite by far. The refried beans were also pretty good.
Apps we got the chips and salsa and queso chorizo dip, those were pretty good too! The chips are like freshly made, real nice touch.
FYI tacos are al a carte and will come out family style, meaning you buy tacos at set price and they'll all come out in a big tray together.
We didn't try but there is also burritos and tortas
Mission taco joint has great margaritas and a nice variety of tacos. If you’re adventurous, give the duck taco a try. The hot chicken taco is hands down my favorite. If you like spicy, the Tough Love is the way to go. The only reason I give them a 4-star review instead of a 5-star is their chips and salsa. I’m not a big fan of the chip density or the salsa flavor; which I guess is a good thing because they are not complimentary.
The staff was friendly the moment we entered. Our wait staff Isaiah was awesome. He never left us in need. The manager Jamie was so nice to wash our baby’s bottle. Definitely a safe place for all with wonderful staff and food.
As a vegetarian, we love the options here. Extremely friendly service. Colorful ambiance. Would go back here again for sure when around this area .
Atmosphere: It’s very loud, spacing is a little tight but seems cozy. The tables are a nice bright wood (I’m a fan)
“Brah-ito” review: With some very nice cooked pulled pork, this beast of a burrito had some delicious melty cheese. And had everything blended perfectly together. 10/10
Waiters: 10/10!! The waitress was checking up on us fairly frequently which I highly appreciate. She was super sweet and brought good vibes and energy. Love the positivity in the workers!
My husband and I went here for a date and it was lovely. We were served by Madi, who went above and beyond to give us wonderful customer service. She was so incredibly thoughtful and it really made our night. We had such a great time and their churros were so delicious. We will definitely be making this a new date spot ❤️
First time for us and it was delicious. Service was top notch. Nice, different, variety of taco choices. Quality of food and presentation was very good. We'll definitely return!
