Price Rite Market & Deli is my favorite convenience store to visit, and I am one of Price Rite’s biggest fans. The things I like about and have eaten from Price Rite include their breakfast burrito, their two topping pizza special on Fridays & Saturdays, and also like their Meatballs Subs and Chicken Spiedini Sandwiches.
When I usually walk inside Price Rite Market & Deli, the employees say my name when they greet me. I am happy that I am a valued customer at Price Rite and the employees like to talk with us in the mornings each time we visit the store. The owner’s name is Santo Smiroldo and my father likes to talk with him about issues around the world and they are kind of like friends to each other.
This would be a good place to get breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you live near the Line Creek area of Kansas City, after an ice hockey game at the Line Creek Community Center, or even after you have took a train ride on the Kansas City Northern Railroad’s miniature train in Frank Vaydik Park.
Listen very carefully. This is a Gem of the northland. The pizza is top notch. Any food you get here is great, but the pizza is the bees knees. I meant to take a picture of the Margarita pizza slice I got, but it was to irresistible. It kept calling out to be eaten. When I say run here and get a slice I mean it. Don’t walk, RUN!
Came in for their delicious Reuben, came out with 2x Reubens and this delicious Monday special - Muffulleta
Cannot recommend this place enough. Such good food, great meals to take and bake, pizzas for days, local delish fruits and veggies, excellent deli of meats and cheeses, what more do you need!?
Reminds me of a deli in New York City from the 1960s - yup, that good! I had a slice of Meatball Pizza and it was fresh, moist, crunchy, and tasty all rolled into one. They have fresh fruit & veggies, sandwiches, steak, & take home meals. The creaky old wood floors & old style feeling of the deli counter & store are just fun. It’s not a convenience store & not a supermarket but the perfect combo of both with a twist. Just visit & enjoy the experience. Then enjoy the food!
Fabulous BLT special on Wednesdays. Their pizza was delicious too. I wish I would have stopped here sooner. Lots of dinner options and fresh meats and veggies.

I LOVE this pizza!!! I’ve tried pepperoni (my favorite), cheese, chicken bacon ranch, and one with fresh tomatoes; all of them are so good. I could come here every day to have their pizza. Their garlic knots are great and their snickerdoodle was amazing. The staff here are so friendly! Honestly, I can’t say enough nice things about this place! I truly can not wait to try all their menu!
Tonight I ordered the bucket of spaghetti that comes with garlic bread. It feeds a family of 4+. Absolutely delicious…. And the sauce! 😋 I’m saying this & I professionally cook. Don’t miss out on this little family owned store where EVERYTHING is amazing!

We tried out The Little Store for the first time last week after driving by a few months ago in our new neighborhood and seeing this hidden gem, and we were not disappointed! We ordered a ravioli appetizer with a meatball sub and a chicken spiedini sandwich. The portions were HUGE and the price was on point. The taste was excellent and the food was prepared fresh after we ordered it. They even had a little cozy outdoor patio which made the experience even better.
Two days later I was back to try the .99 cent pizza slices that were on Sunday special. I had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese, and they were amazing. So glad we found this place. After living downtown and having access to these types of smaller unique shops that really go the extra mile, we were happy to find The Little Store in the sea of fast food up north. The staff is very friendly and were very nice answering my questions about the food and the history of the place. Looking forward to coming in for dinner for years to come.
This is 100% the best meatball sub we’ve ever eaten, and we’ve tried a lot of them around the city trying to see if anyone can top it. So incredible.
