We read other reviews first and either the issues have been resolved, or we came on a good night. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food, despite that it was obvious they were busy with carry-out orders. The service was perfect other than one slight issue when we received an appetizer, but
So delicious!!! Went for lunch and though several items were not available, there was still plenty to choose from. The attieke — fried mackerel — was crispy, as was the chicken. Really love how flavorful and seasoned everything was. The beef samosas were huge. The crust was thin and perfectly fried,
I saw many reviews about this place being slow but food being amazing, and my sister and I had time to kill so we decided to go for it. We were not disappointed! We got the fried rice with chicken and then the banku, I believe. We really wanted to try the peanut butter soup and a couple other things
I've been coming here for a few years and I always spend over $150. They are a unique restaurant and there's not any other restaurant serving West African cuisine so I try to patronize it and ignore the flaws in service. But the last couple of times I've come the food has tasted burnt and lots of pa
While the food is absolutely delicious, as noted in other reviews, the service is EXTREMELY slow. We got our appetizers within 15 minutes, but our main entree did not arrive until an hour after we had ordered. Fortunately, the restaurant made an appropriate price adjustment to make up for the long w
Very good food. Took a long time to get food but it was fresh. I ordered a drink 3 times with 3 different servers and never received it which was disappointing but I had water.
It was a great experience and I loved it. My babe surprised me with this west Africa food I missed so much. I will go there again and would recommend it to anyone that wants to try African food.
They sometimes oil up your soups, i personally like my soups with a little oil in it but sometimes it be DRENCHED with oil. Mind as well call it oil soup. But i really love their chicken and lamb soups. Yummmm. Also they gave me a free sprite, they’re so sweet, people love me. :) Thanks!
The atmosphere is welcoming and they have good tunes jamming the whole time you eat. They make the food once it's ordered so it takes time but very much worth the wait. I had the Jollof Rice with Chicken, Banana Plantain, and Veggies. Tried but not pictured is Cassava Leaf with chicken, also tasty!
I go here for the vegetarian jollof rice all the time. It's always been bomb af. Its not spicy unless you use the sauce in the plastic container. I also ventured out to these puff puffs which came with this spicy sauce. The combo together was delicious. Oh and unless you're eating there though, mak
We LOVED eating here! Portion size? 100% Taste 10000% Everything was 100%. Bummed that it’s hours away but so so worth the drive. Will be dining here again when we drive through this part of town! Everyone was friendly to us, too!!
An unexpected, yet deliciously pleasant surprise. I had my first taste of West African cuisine and was left speechless. This small place is West African run and manned. I was overwhelmed with the flavors and pleasing aroma. I had previously been told that West African food was full of flavors, altho
The food here is worth the wait! I stop in frequently and never leave hungry. Love the jollof, kebab, mango cucumber salad, and the various stews/soups. Amazing!
My first time eating here. Great hospitality, cozy environment and the food was delicious. I had the equsi with fufu, Ted snapper with jollof rice, plantains that were good. The portions were big so I took some home for leftovers.
Reading the most recent review: I’m truly flabbergasted anyone can spend $50-100 per person here and not be rolled out in a wheelchair due to food coma. Ok, so my review: The prices are chill (most of the menu photos up are still the same). Food is excellent. Didn’t wait for 15 minutes before getti
We stumbled here by accident and what a treat! I'm an adventurous eater and always wanted to try African Food. This food was bursting with flavor and love by Ms. Fannie! 10/10 recommend.
Wow we each got something different and shared some of everything, it was all so delicious! Great people working there and amazing food! Will be back with more friends!
