I had the duck fat fries and they were unique but really tasty too. I got the hamburger with macaroni on it. I was not a fan of the combination. But overall the quality of food was great and the staff was very courteous.
My mom and I dropped in here on a Monday for lunch. Nice bar/restaurant that is clean and spacious. The bartender, a nice gentlemen from Lawrence, was very accommodating. We couldn't decide on a beer so he hooked us up with an Irish flight. Not only was the service perfect the food was to die for! We had the Mac and cheese burger- one of the BEST burgers I've ever had. To top of off, we had the duck fat fries, totally life changing. And with the fries we got 6 different dipping sauces that were equally tasty with homemade "catsup" and mustard YUM! I would definitely recommend this place for a great burger and beer. Bartenders make this place GREAT! Even tho it can get busy. They still give out recommendations. Especially the bald guy(sorry didn't catch his name). It's a small place but good place. Music was great and the drinks were mixed very well.
Never really went for the food, no no opinion in that regard. Usually went for music. Lots of early 2000 and 90s hip hop and r and b and decent amount of current songs. This place was a well hid secret for some time but now word is starting to get out and tends to get a little crowded sometimes. Drinks are ok, not a great selection and somewhat watered down. Usually a really good atmosphere of people trying to just Dance and have a good time so still a 5 for kc standards.
Went in during regular hours..service was quick and burgers are pretty good. It is a bar/pub so if you don't mind the colorful people and high seats...enjoy it! I did! I gave 4 stars because I had been to a 5 star bar/pub...way over the top and food was top choice meats.
This place has burgers that are out of this world! Went there for the first time the other night. Had always passed it and never thought much of the unassuming bar. I highly recommend the Fiery Hawaiian Kobe burger along with some duck fat fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and had very fresh toppings. Fries were great, just the right amount of crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Plus they had $5 double well drinks on Friday night. Made for a good combo to wash the food down.
After my first time here, I am pleased. I had a house burger on an amazing brioche bun, cooked to a perfect medium. Duck fat fries were sinfully good as an appetizer, served with two delicious aolis. Drinks were good, moderately priced. My only issue was that there was only one server on duty on a Friday night. She was fast and efficient but one woman can only do so much. But, that was a small price to pay for such good food. I will be returning.
The burgers are great but the fries are the reason to come here. Truffle oil, duck fat, or sweet potato with different dipping sauces. We've been several times just to make a meal from the fries. The beer selection was not great but a little better than just the typical bar selections. Bar atmosphere with televisions playing whatever game is on. It tends to get pretty loud if there's any amount of people there or if they're playing music over the speakers.
We LOVE this place! Our second home because we're here AT LEAST once a week! The staff is awesome & the food is just as good. We wouldn't go anywhere else for excellent food & drinks if they paid us! We love Cody! We're with him every Thursday...
The food was amazing! Had the Broadway Espresso Burger and it was out of this world! The truffle fries were a great compliment. The staff was warm and inviting. Definitely a place to check out. I will be back.
