Absolutely the perfect place for an afternoon cocktail. Recommend to me from some local foodies...their stock elevated several tiers. - Engaging, educated staff - Focused, well thought out drinks - Clean, well groomed facility - Intelligent interactions - Menus organized Wish I had more time, as was on time constraint. Operator / owners care, and it trickles down to guest experience. Keep up the good work everyone!!!

Aside from having an amazing 3rd date at this place, the vibe and drinks are incredible. While the Julep specializes in an overwhelming assortment of whiskeys and bourbons, it’s the Garden and Gun that sold me. Light, refreshing, and garnished…it’s an easy to gulp cocktail that should be available by the pitcher! The main floor is cozy but private, and there are two private areas for parties with that in mind. I really enjoy this place. It’s a must-try locale for the discerning KC crowd who somehow finds themselves in Westport!

We had an amazing time at Julep last week. We did not have a reservation for the pop up but we’re still able to enjoy the Something Wicked menu at one of the tables in the front area of the bar. The witches brew was the highlight with a super fun presentation and delicious! Always a good time here.

Loved the drinks here! Fairly priced for the quality, taste, and presentation. I had the traditional Julep and house chips. My wife got the fries (they were crispy and looked great too). I would recommend to offer some seasoning on those fries or maybe loaded fries.

Really enjoyed my cocktails, great service by the staff. Wide selection of whiskies and unique cocktails. Small eats that looked very tasty with one or two main dishes. Fun cocktail that incorporates fire and a little magic.

Amazing place. Very friendly. Sometimes you can listen to some Bluegrass. The day we went, they had all mimosas you can drink for $10. Delicious food. Amazing servers and crew, always nice and well informed about the hundreds of whiskeys they have.

The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, well-dressed, and definitely know how to make a cocktail. I stuck to my usual Manhattan and their house whiskey was perfect. One of the best drinks I've had in a while. So good I was there twice in one day! Will definitely be back.

Came in to use my passport and was not disappointed. I had the London Calling and it was absolutely perfect. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. It’s a nice spot to chill out with a delicious drink. The bartenders were very neatly dressed and very friendly

Passing through KC and am a huge cocktail fan so had to stop at Julep. The neighborhood Julep is in is super cute - definitely could spend more time there. Julep is beautiful. The buildout on this place is awesome. It's a pretty small place but you walk in and see a bar and a bookcase full of bottles along with a ladder. We got the following cocktails. London Calling - if you're a cucumber fan definitely get this one! Very good. Camellia - this isn't actually matcha the powder, it's a tea they use as a mixer. I would definitely not recommend this drink. Traditional Julep - Julep knows how to make a dang good julep. Highly recommended. The Great Awakening - This was also wonderful. Definitely recommended. I'm a bourbon person, and this was a bourbon bar so I was overall pretty happy!

Great ambiance in Westport area, cocktails crafted beautifully. Immense Whiskey selection, such that a ladder is required to reach all of it. Staff super nice and helpful with their recommendations.

Absolutely love this place. A nice change from the more casual restaurants in this district. Will definitely be back. Amazing food (pimento fritters & bruschetta are 10/10) & happy hour on a Saturday? YES PLZ! Great atmosphere and vibe. Strong 5/5

Wonderful cocktails slung out by very knowledgeable and friendly bartenders and staff! They have a huge selection of whiskeys and scotches, of which you can order pours or flights. The staff will help with choosing bottles to try, if you want to expand your horizons! The food is top-notch, as well. Try the pimento fritters, chicken meatballs, a charcuterie board, and the Chazburger- everything is so delicious!! Right now all seating is outdoors on the extended patio.

Best bar I’ve been to. Julep would hold their own against NYC bars. Great seasonal mixes and staff that is willing to educate you about their concoctions.

Julep has great cocktails and an extensive whiskey selection. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and am hopeful that it finds a way to persist in some form. I recommend their Sazerac, Old Fashioned, or Mint Juleps.

Nice Southern cocktail bar in Westport. The place can get crowded on weekends but it has a nice quiet atmosphere on weeknights. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the interior is nice to look at. Drink prices range from $10-15.

We're not from the area but came across this place walking around. The bar staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks were delicious! Great place for a snack and cocktail. We will be returning before we head home.

This has always been one of my fav bars to go to! The only place in KC that I can find whistle pig! Came in tonight and there was no toilet paper in the stalls! I went to all three stalls (one that was out of order by the way) looking for TP and there was NONE! Ended up using napkins from the dispenser to wipe with after using the bathroom (so I'm walking around basically naked) my biggest concern, the manager on duty had no concern for my issue. In the bathroom with other women or not I DO NOT want to walk around the entire bathroom naked searching for toilet paper..I'm leaving this comment from my husbands page but I am all woman... #disappointed Leaving without ordering my fav drink...

What a very cool place. Wonderful bartenders, fantastic cocktail selection. My date and I really enjoyed it and would possibly go back. Only draw back, really loud music for the size of the space , also the music choice didn't match the classy atmosphere. Probably no one else notices that. Overall, worth a visit.

Service was slow, to busy talking to friends at the bar. However the food was descent for the small portions they do serve. Price was moderate to high. This place leans heavily on their bartender to entertain and serve this bar. Without the bartenders entertainment I would of given this place 1 star. Oh .... they don’t refill coffees here either.

Had my birthday here and it was spectacular! The cocktails were excellent, I really wish I had tried more throughout the night. Caroline, our server, made the best recommendations. Even the Ginger Fizz mocktail I had was such a refreshing surprise. Not only did everything taste great, but the presentation is the icing on the cake. What a memorable birthday!

Been here previously for cocktails and it was great. Today was horrible for brunch worst restaurant experience ever 1 hour wait for food and all the food came out in 30 minute increments after that. I'm a server and shocked at how poorly mismanaged Julep is. The girl serving mimosas was great but everything else did not meet our expectations at all. Something should have been taken off our bill.

Normally I love Julep and I've never had bad service here. I have even ran into one of the bartenders around KC and he's absolutely lovely and helpful and generally recognizes me when I come in. However, my sister and I came in over the weekend and received terrible service. Our server set waters on the table and walked away without greeting us even though we had already been sitting down for about 5 minutes. When he finally came to take our drink order, he was rude and hurried which definitely put us off. I requested that he let the bartender choose his favorite cocktail to make for me since I couldn't make up my mind and he acted like this was a ridiculous request and that I was being difficult. My sister asked for his recommendation on a drink and he could not give any input. He kept insisting that she tell him the type of alcohol that she drank instead of recommending flavors she enjoyed/sweetness level/etc. She told him multiple times she did not have an alcohol preference and was looking for something maybe unique and not too sweet. He said "Have you had an old fashioned before? Did you like it? Old fashioned it is" and walked away. He did not even bring our drinks to us, someone else ran them to our table. It took almost 20 minutes to grab him to ask for our check. We had another engagement to get to and we were looking to leave quickly since we had been waiting so long, so when he brought the check presenter we immediately went to place our payment inside. He saw this and still chose to walk to the back instead of acknowledging us. We had to catch him AGAIN to have him cash us out and after he grabbed the books back he walked to the POS and just set them down and left again. Someone else had to finish our payment and return our books. The woman who helped us was very sweet and she could tell we were a little disappointed with our service. When we went to leave, I was going to grab someone and mention that maybe someone should check in with our server about the missed steps of service. However, every staff member seemed to be gathered around the bar chatting with one another. I am generally extremely patient and I am not normally one to complain, but I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The cocktails are delicious and we would have probably stayed for another drink but the entire experience really ruined the night. It had an air of unprofessionalism and this place is way too pricy for this attitude. I should also mention that it was extremely slow so volume of business was not the issue. There was one other table of two people and one bar guest. For three bartenders and a server, I would say this is extremely manageable. Sorry for the long review, but someone should be made aware of this. If it happened to us, it probably happened to others throughout the night. I will definitely try again sometime, but this was just so so disappointing.

We went for their first brunch and we were not disappointed! It's "home style serving" just the way we like it! Wonderful food, awesome staff, lovely entertainment and a beautiful space! This is a MUST place to eat, laugh and enjoy!!! We will be very regular!

Went to their first brunch. They were out of my first two choices. My third choice didn't come with all the ingredients listed. My husbands dish didn't come for at least 20 minutes after mine and didn't have all the ingredients. I know it's their first brunch, but won't be back. Too many other excellent brunch options.

I had made reservations, first said didn't have it then changed to had it but didn't have a table available, wanted to for us to just sit at the bar. I ordered 3 items off the limited brunch menu ,got 1 after about 15 minutes, got 1 about 15 more minutrs, never got the other! When I mentioned it she said oh you did order that! I asked her just forget it,take it off the bill, no apology NOTHING then stopped coming by to refill our mimosas! Music was great ,staff lacking! Go to Hopcat, beautiful outside rooftop, food delish and quick,servers awesome!

Brunch was a first for all of us there this past Sunday and it was excellent! The service was great, they have brunch offerings that you don't see anywhere else in KC and they have a great deal on bottomless mimosas. I will definitely be back. Thanks Julep KC for a great experience!

Finely crafted cocktails and friendly bartenders in a smaller but cozy atmosphere. Bartenders always make the bar and the tenders here are clearly dedicated to their craft. Highly recommend for a date night or happy hour with friends.
