Wow! Very good carnitas burrito and pork tamale! The "Muy loco" salsa had some serious heat! Super fresh, lots of flavor, and a reasonable price...great place for lunch!

A couple of months ago my little one and I decided to spend a day trip in Kansas City from Fort Riley. We took the trolley and during the ride our tour guide told us about the delicious food Burrito bros offered, sadly we didn't have time to stop by that day. I promised my my little one we will take another day trip once my husband return from Korea and that's exactly what we did. I'm so glad we did too! It was such a wonderful time, we even met the owner father (he's such a good man) he gave us an history session on how and when Burrito bros was established (Baltimore md). The food was so yummy! Just perfect! The tour guide description was an understatement! We made so many memories and now every time when we go to Kansas City we will always stop here to have a yummy meal. I had an chicken burrito and it was the best ever! My son had a chicken taco, he's very picky but he ate it all and said " Mommy this was so good and I'm full". For the amount we spent and the quality of food you receive it's worth it! The food was fresh and the guacamole was perfect! Talking about a good time and good food with good people then this is your place to go! I highly recommend Burrito bros!
Love it! Stop by soon!. I can't figure out how to make this a "favorite," so it just comes up "likes it." This is a great little place in the City Market. They're open uti 8:00 p.m., which is great because we often work late and don't feel like cooking. Burrito Bros. is a really good value for fresh food made by really nice people!
The servings are very generous. I had a chicken burrito with extra hot sauce tonight. It was gigantic and had a lot of flavor. My boyfriend had a pork burrito bowl, which he said was delicious. A heaping serving of chips came with both meals.
Burrito Bros. is a small independent restaurant, and we really like to support those instead of the large chains. We live in the neighborhood, and we'll definitely be back soon. We'll also encourage others to stop in. Great place!!

Better than Chipotle. Went for the first time on 01/07/2013. Super small venue, but great taste, far better than chipotle, tortillas weren't old; all ingredients were fresh. Definitely going back.
This place is terrific!. I love this place, I can't eat Chipotle anymore because of it. Burrito Bros puts a chipotle burrito to shame. I love their vegetarian options, the best portabello mushrooms I have ever had. Completely addicting and the folks who work there are always so nice and take care of us. LOVE IT! Don't ever change! :)
Burrito Bros. Great lunch spot! I got the shrimp and spinach enchilada and it was delicious. Great portion - enough for two meals. I'll be back!
Step Away Chipotle. When you currently think about a burrito stop you think Chipotle. After visiting Burrito Brothers, I no longer imagine Chipotle, I imagine the bigger wider variety menu along with the fresh tasting food and melted cheese burrios in this store. I also enjoy not having to pay for a side of chips, but automatically recieving them.
Wish Chiptole Was This Good. The Burrito Bros beat the big guys at their own burrito-game. They're friendly, the atmosphere is charming and the food is delicious. They're speed is improving and the price is right, too. Love this place and highly recommend it.
Burrito Brothers - my new favorite mexican. I LOVE this place. i shop at the river market weekly and this is always a stop on my list. They have great local food, buying much of their produce right there in river market...and with so much fresh veggies on your doorstep how can you go wrong? the salsa i will give a 4...i adore the robust and fresh flavors, the balance of the cool tomatoes and the spicy peppers.the chicken is WONDERFUL as are the beans, the rice and the peppers and onion mixture. I love their burriots with chicken rice and peppers onions with fresh pico and mild salsa YUM.
Their prices are great too...fro what you would pay at chilpotles you get to eat better food, locally grown and locally owned...whats not to love.
Muy delicioso!. Great burrito, fresh, authentic and good service. They even gave me a free drink. Chips are fresh as well. Def going again!
They also have Cholula on their tables which is even better!
Good local burritos. I do enjoy Chipotle, but it is nice to have a local burrito place like Burrito Brothers. One distinguishing menu option is a burrito with chorrizo sausage. I also like how they melt the cheese before adding other toppings.

Finally tried Burrito Bros after walking by it numerous times throughout our visits to River Market. The food here always sounds good and smells good when you walk by. The menu has a pretty good selection and you can do veggie options too.
I had the street tacos and tried three different protein options. The tacos were done relatively quickly and look delicious. The gal definitely added way too many raw onions. The tacos were better than I expected and their hot sauce had a ton of flavor. I did get a piece of plastic wrap in one of my tacos which came from the protein that was in the taco. I can't say this really bothered me because this kind of stuff can happen easily but still not a great thing when you are a public restaurant. The veggie burrito we got was really good and actually had a ton of flavor.
It was nice we could eat out in the main walkway area during a cold December day due to the garage doors being closed and the heaters being on. My last comment, some of the staff were noticeably not super friendly but I suppose that is what it is.
The burritos are big, but could have been a little warmer. It is nice that they can make bowls, too.
The food is always good. They have my favorite quesadilla. I would give them five stars but as of recently the staff seemed to have took a hit. I recently bought my team lunch here and requested a paper receipt, to which they couldn’t provide. I opted to receive a text receipt but it never arrived as well. So I would give them five stars for food, and 3 stars for service. Still worth checking out if you’re ever in the River market area!
I have walked past this restaurant for years, but never gone in. However, on a warm, sunny almost 70 degree December day I decided to eat lunch outside at the City Market.
Now, quite frankly, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long! They have the nicest outside seating area, and that's just the beginning.
Counter service was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. My receipt says the cashier was Christina, but I'm not certain that was the gentleman's name. He but only answered my questions, he educated me so I'd know more next time!
The only problem I had with my tacos was that they were stuffed so full I couldn't pick them up. Tomatillo Salsa was so flavorful, tortilla chips were fresh and crisp (and fun to share with the sparrows). 100/10 cannot wait to go back!
The bowl and taco was amazing super fresh and amazing customer service definitely a vibe and a chill spot.
Love coming here. The food is great however the chips were a tad to salty honestly. Everyone is always friendly and actually wants to converse with you. Also appreciate that they are able to give accurate suggestions on what to order if you are unsure.
Love their pastor meat in street tacos. The food is great and affordable. Outdoor seating is convenient and helps with social distancing.

My daughter loves chipotle style food. We came to visit the city market and so we each chose where we wanted to eat for lunch. She declared Burrito Bros right away! They have tacos and pastor and it seems to be very popular location. The burrito could have been a little bigger.
Pastor burrito bowl was tasty and the staff was really nice. Simple but great food.
My husband and I got burritos today, first time ever going. I'm from San Diego, CA and I have to say this is the most authentic tasting Mexican food I've had since moving to the midwest. The spices, the pico de gallo, and guacamole were perfect. Next got to try the tacos!
