Best way to explain this experience is to create a visual. Who remembers the movie ratatouille? And that moment the food critic tastes the dish that takes him to his childhood memories... what an experience from the crisp slightly sweet yet slighy sour fried Green tomatoes, to a chicken dish with so many wonderful aromas that my taste buds experienced the meal before it entered my mouth. Loved it!

I was traveling for work and found this little gem in the city. It is very nice and cozy place. If you are looking for farm to table meal, this is the place for you.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and food is delicious. I was there twice and tried eggs Benedict and was not left disappointed.
The only thing I would add is maybe couple extra coffee selections for the morning people who come for b-fast

I was sad that they were out of salmon, chicken, and bison brisket, but the catfish was delicious and the staff were kind. I think the serving sizes were quite generous too, I just barely had room for dessert! If it wasn’t so expensive, I would have wanted to try one of the drinks too; the menu had a lot of neat options.

Fantastic meal and service! Our only complaints were that a few meals weren't timed right and had already cooled off a little too much, and the filet was super tiny and slightly overcooked. The meatloaf had great flavor. The sweet vermouth butter sauce on the liver was amazing...probably the best liver I've ever had. The orange sauce on the salmon wasn't my favorite. The chicken chili was very tasty. We would definitely go back to this place! It satisfied our foodie tastes!

Great atmosphere! Plenty of healthier options or those with food restrictions. The waitress was kind & made sure to ask for any food allergies which was a nice touch. The screwdriver was refreshing and the infused blueberry vodka was the right touch for a breakfast cocktail. The omelette was perfectly sized, only complaint was that the spinach was not cooked and more an after thought. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crisp. Highly recommended for a chill atmosphere with farm fresh ingredients.

Great mimosas! Beautiful restaurant with old style structure. The food is fantastic, and service is outstanding. Lots of variety on the menu for whatever you may like. I highly recommend the Benedict's (yes, there are multiple types of Benedict's).

Wonderful servers in a wonderful, interesting building from the 1880s. Great food, but a bit overpriced for what you get. If everything they served were exclusively organic, it might justify the price. But they should advertise it as such if that's the case. More realistically, they should include a vegetable with each entree for the price.

My husband and I have eaten here several times for both breakfast and dinner. We love this place. For breakfast, you really cannot beat their Eggs Benedicts! Truly amazing. The most recent visit we had was for dinner, for which we shared the Bison Turnover (delicious!), the meatloaf (yummy!), and the orange cake for dessert (mind blowing!). All the pictures below are from the most recent visit. It’s all so delicious, we’ve never been disappointed by the food or the service. Highly recommend for those who wanna try something new!

The quality of food is amazing. The bartender was very pleasant. I ordered a chai hot toddy that was delicious.
I definitely recommend this place. The only thing that was disappointing, the fancy pancake still had batter in the middle and one of the poached eggs wasn’t runny.

One of my top breakfast spots in the city. Fresh and local produce. The menu is diverse enough for all types of dietary preferences.
My favorite is the crispy tofu salad, fancy cake, and tofu scramble.

I'm always excited to try an organic, farm-to-table restaurant, so decided to give this place a chance for brunch today. I was disappointed at best. Actually a little angry about dropping money for bad service, mediocre food, and terrible atmosphere. The food was blah, it took a long time, and was nothing special. We had the egg plate and the French toast. The eggs were bland, the English muffin was barely toasted, and my bacon was soggy and arrived 5 minutes after the rest of my food. My wife's French toast was soggy as well, and the server was unable to bring her a full container of syrup, so she brought 2 almost empty ones. The place was so scorching hot and stuffy that I lost my appetite, and ate only about a third of my food. My plate sat in front of me untouched for at least 15 minutes, while I vigorously fanned myself with a menu, and when the server finally came to check on us, she removed my wife's plate, ignored me, my plate, and the credit card I had placed on the table since I was desperate to leave because it was so hot. She came back a few minutes later and finally asked if I needed a box for my food. I declined. Sadly, the only good thing about this experience was the coffee, which was actually very good.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time--love the concept. We went for Mother's Day and had a reservation for 10 am. The restaurant was about half full. We were seated quickly and ordered within 10 minutes but did not get our first dish until around 11 am. The plates for our table and the one next to us staggered in. I was the last to receive my 'fancy pancakes' around 11:15. The pancakes were inedible as they were raw in the center. They tasted like dough and had very little flavor. The restaurant did not charge for the pancakes but used the excuse of Mother's Day. Working in the industry, I'm aware Mother's Day is a busy day but when your restaurant is half full and you know that Mother's Day is busy you should be prepared. It was a disappointment as it was our first time dining here. Everyone else's food had good flavor but the fact that one person can finish their dish and then you are handed raw pancakes is pretty bad... The table next to us then found a hair in their dish. We will not be back unfortunately.

I’m confused on how this place has so many 5 stars. They don’t know how to run a restaurant. We came here on a Saturday night around 7 and there were only a few tables in the One area where we were. We had 10 people but we were the first 4 to show up. Had attentive service then but when birthday girl showed up it kept taking longer and longer to get our waiter to come to our table or drinks to be served. I had to go find a manager to have someone come take our order because our server was nowhere to be found for 30 min. Drinks empty, new arrivals hadn’t been greeted. Catfish bites lacked flavor. Bison burger came out rare when ordered medium and a lot of our food was Cold even though it took 45 minutes plus to be served. Very poor experience. My pork was good hence the 2 stars. Servers need some serious training! We were there for 2.5+ hours, my man left hungry and had to stop at Taco Bell on way home, and we wasted $50.

A few years ago, I would have given this place 5 stars - the food was heavenly and the service was attentive and personable. The last 2 times I was there, the food was mediocre - bland and lukewarm; and three service abysmal. My friend ordered a bloody Mary, that sat on the bar for over 10 minutes before our waiter picked out up. Our server tipped my water glass and spilled some water, then walked away without cleaning it up or even acknowledging it. Makes me sad because this used to be my favorite place for brunch.

The food was amazing. I had biscuits and gravy with the buffalo sausage gravy, and a piece of French toast that was so light and fluffy. It melted in my mouth. We didn't have a wait this morning (Friday at 8:30am). If I lived in this state I would go back over and over again.

I usually love Blue Bird Bistro. The food is delicious. However our service at lunch yesterday was terrible and our waitress had an abhorrent attitude the entire time. For the price we paid for lunch I expected at least common decency but she was sadly short and not friendly in the slightest. I will no longer recommend this restaurant.

I had great experience there this morning! I tried "morning after" and Jamison Irish coffee. I can't believe that they are so delicious. I can't eat entire meal. So I took doggy box with me. The waiter is very excellent and friendly because he wanted to make sure that everything is great. I am impressed with his services. What's more? I love their style, which Is old farmhouse style with some antique. I really enjoyed there!
