Review Bonefish Grill - Kansas City

We had a fantastic meal last night. We had a party of 12 and every person thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was amazing. The atmosphere is comfortable, inviting and feels upscale with the cloth table covers. This was my frost time eating at this location. I will definitely be back!! We hope our reviews are helpful for learning about shopping, eating and playing in the area we live in.

We just love this restaurant! Our group of 6 was served promptly, given regular attention, and served drinks, appetizers, entrees, & desserts quickly. The food was FANTASTIC as always! We had the Big Bang Bang Shrimp (so very tasty!), Pumpkin Ravioli (fried), Apple Chutney Salmon (perfect special for Fall weather), Imperial Cod (yum!), Rhea Swordfish Special (scrumptious with crab & spinach topping), & Chicken & Shrimp (perfect). Heather’s service was impeccable & the meal was as good as our conversation. Thanks for a great night out!

Love this spot for a nice dinner! I always try to get one of their specials because they never disappoint. Bang bang shrimp is always a must too. 10/10 every time.

I was bonefish last night and I had the bang bang shrimp. It was really delicious and the serving was huge for an appetizer. I had Lily’s chicken for the main course. The service was good and the food was delicious

This is one of my favorite places to go for fish. I had the cod imperial which was good. The real star of the show is the bang bang shrimp. I love it so much I make it at home

This was our first time at the restaurant. We had reservations and were seated quickly. While not a huge restaurant, the atmosphere was great for a date. We had a delicious calamari appetizer that had breaded and fried red bell peppers mixed in. My steak was cooked properly. It was a yummy rare steak. I tried my wife's Mahi Mahi and it was cooked well and had a great flavor. Overall a great experience and date night. Will visit again.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, great service! I absolutely love the tuna poke bowl!! We always make a reservation just in case they're busy. We're promptly seated when we arrive. It's a great place to go for a quiet, date night meal!

Celebrated my birthday with my wife. The swordfish was immaculate! And I got a birthday cheesecake! What a great night!!

Always a great experience at Bonefish. Everything we've ever tried has been phenomenal to say the least. Nice, cozy environment but take a sweater because they keep it chilly!

We arrived 15 minutes early for a 6:30 reservation and didn't get seated till 6:50 but being Valentine's day eve we assumed they were busier than normal. They did however bring out a few trays of appetizers and allowed us to taste a few of their dishes while we waited so that saved the day. Walk-ins were being quoted a 1 1/2 hour wait and were happily accepting their place in line. That told me we we're in for a treat. Once seated the service was a bit slow but all in all once we got our food we felt that the wait was worthwhile. We will be back, but will probably try for a night that isn't so busy.

I had the best time tonight. Visiting from. St. Louis and was happy to find Bonefish Grill in the area. The food was well prepared and served with care. Great job, Anabel & Ms. "L"... Thanks for taking such good care of me!

Great Service, thank You Terry! Great Atmosphere, didn't feel rushed! The Bang Bang Shrimp and Calamari is a "must try" Appetizer. The Main dishes were also pretty good!

I came in with a group of 7 on Sunday for the endless brunch while in town from Jacksonville, FL. I frequent the Bonefish Grill there, so I thought it would be a great place to meet up with friends while in town. Two of our group arrived approximately 15 minutes before the rest of the group with 2 other tables in the restaurant. It was slow and they were greeted by the host and seated immediately with a large enough table to accommodate our party. After arriving, it took about 10 minutes before we saw our server. He finally stopped by the table and immediately, and rather rudely, demanded to see everyone's IDs. We are all servers and bartenders so we completely understood if we had even ordered alcohol at that point, but to ask before we could even begin our drink order was a little strange. After taking our drink order, we informed him we were ready to order food as well. He ignored that comment and walked away. 10 minutes later we received our drinks from the training bartender. Our server came back to take our order which 6/7 of us ordered off of the brunch menu, which clearly states it runs from 11am-2pm. One person from our party decided to order the salmon and add the endless bubbles brunch for $12.00, which is clearly stated in the menu. The server argued with him for a few minutes, refusing to hear him out, until I pointed out on my menu where it said we could add it. He stormed away after that. It took about 35-40 minutes for our food, which is no big deal but we were only checked on once in that timeframe. With an endless brunch, you could at least stop by to see how everyone is doing while waiting. If it were to be busy, we would have understand as all of us are servers/bartenders but it became obvios that the server was avoiding our table. At this point, we were the only table in the restaurant. After we got our food, we asked for another round of drinks. 15 minutes later, the bartender in training brought over our drinks again. No sign of our server. When he came back, he asked how checks are split up and began grabbing plates that we were not finished with. We all received our checks at 1:05pm. We asked if we were still able to order the endless brunch after we tabbed out and he said no, which we understood. We explained we would not be tabbing out just yet because we wanted to continue to enjoy the "endless" brunch which was being rushed very quickly to an end. He then responded "I will get you one more round, but then I am closing out the checks." I then responded and asked if he was cut (which in a restaurant means that you are allowed to go home before your scheduled time out) and he responded yes, so he was closing us out so he could leave. We asked if we could tip him but continue our tabs with another server so we could enjoy the hour we had left, he responded no and stormed off. At this point, we were so upset by being rushed out of the resurant and being treated like we matter at all, we tabbed out. He proceeds to pick up the tabs and look at the tip on each receipt in front of us, and stand closely by the table waiting for us to leave. We hung around until we finished our drinks and left because he began pulling the tables apart as soon as two of us got up to go to the bathroom. I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant, nor have I ever treated my bar guests the way we were treated on Sunday. Completely unprofessional, rude, and unwelcoming at a very well known establishment. We will continue to visit the Jacksonville location, but this location completely ruined my last day in town with friends before flying out.

Bonefish is my favorite restaurant, hands down!!! I used to refuse to eat fish- Bonefish changed my mind. We have been here many times and tried different entrees and never been disappointed- the sashimi is absolutely amazing, the cocktails are delish, especially the Hawaiian Orchid!!! Don’t forget to grab desert, the creme brûlée is like heaven! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.. and the service is always impeccable.

This was the first time we had eaten at this location. Very professional staff. Our server, Chris was the best! Very prompt but let us enjoy our dinner. Also, the bartender on duty Saturday night rocked! Not everyone can make a good Cosmopolitan, but he sure did! Very satisfied with our meal and when we travel to KC again, we will definitely be back! Thank you for a great dining experience.

We love the bonefish Grill quality food good prices excellent service beautiful restaurant. We had the lobster stuffed shrimp on a bed of creamed spinach oh my God was it delicious don't miss the crap lump crab corn chowder one of the tastiest soups ever and I highly recommend The Jamaican coconut pie if you like coconut it's to die for

Best restaurant for seafood in KC area. Awesome service too. Everything from start to finish was excellent. Peach tea/mint sprigs to drink, bread with oil & spices, crab cakes with a special sauce, pecan crusted trout, salmon/shrimp, & Jamaican coconut pie for dessert. We’ll be back! Especially since the manager gave us a coupon for a free bang bang shrimp next time! �� Nice atmosphere. Very enjoyable.

Took my wife for her birthday. Food was delicious. Loved everything. Mahi Mahi with the lobster thermador on top needs to be on regular menu. Will go back

I have to the bonefish grill several time and have never had a bed experience and the food has never disappointed always very good fresh and we'll cooked and prepared

Michael Estrada and crew did an amazing job this evening! We felt like royalty! The food is 5 star and the service and atmosphere was wonderful! We had the best time!!

i got the Fresh Caribbean Dayboat Scallops with a Blackberry Sangria....OMG...the best meal i have ever had, anywhere....!!!!....my husband and i have never had bad service or bad anything here.....our favorite date night destination....

Food was great. Service was okay. We went on a Friday night and glad that I made a reservation or the wait would have been extremely long, the place was packed.

Haven't been myself, but after what my parents just experienced there, I will never visit this establishment. Wait time was estimated to be twenty minutes. When my parents went to question their place in line after an hour and a half, management denied that they had been there that long. My parents showed then the receipt from their drinks at the bar when they first got there over an hour and a half earlier. If you are short staffed or running behind, let the people waiting know so that they can decide if they want to go somewhere else. Don't lie to them, waste their time, and then have the audacity to call them liars. They left and went to Nick and Jake's.

Bone Fish Grill has the best Crab cakes and Excellent customer service. I have been a customer since 2010 and I have never been disappointed in any way. " you can't teach people to care" but you can definitely inspire your employees to do so and Bone Fish grill inspires its employees to connect with customers. Thank you for being my #1 restaurant.
