Our food was really good. However, I would like to address our experience as a family. Our son has autism and it is not always easy to find a fun and comfortable place for him to eat. It can't be too loud or over-stimulating visually. Your restaurant really worked for us! There was enough ambient noise that he was able to be excited and silly without any worry of disturbing another diner's experience. However, it wasn't so loud that he needed to cover his ears. Your Christmas tree was pretty and he loved that it was located "up high".
Our visit was 12/10/17 after 2:00 p.m. Our waitress (sorry, didn't catch her name) has long, dark hair. She is a treasure! We always try to let our son order himself. She treated him with respect and dignity. She made sure to keep his eye contact and addressed him directly. This is not always our experience, so we really appreciated her effort.
Thanks for such a great experience! I'm sure we'll be back. :)

Awesome staff who knows their beer! Everything I've eaten off the menu has been great...my fav is the balsamic goat cheese bruschetta! Great date night spot. The company is growing and expanding so much and their brewery is doing so well, very beneficial business and great addition to South KC.
Martin City Pizza & Taproom is now live on DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub and Toast for online ordering and delivery!
Love their menu variety and plentiful serving sizes for a great value! The Cobb salad is insane, the Charcuterie board is out of this world and my favorite pizza is the Chicken Spanakopita.
The Martin City beers are always great along with full bar, but the extensive wine selection is truly impressive!
We were in town for baseball tournament, and couldn't decide where to go, but we knew we wanted some pizza. This place was recommended by someone we knew in the area, so we decided to try it out. Excellent!
We went on a Sunday, which turns out they have all day happy hour, so that was an added plus. They had $2 off on their beer as well as appetizers had decent discounts too.
We ordered two appetizers: brussel sprouts and pork tips. We all really enjoyed the Brussels a lot! Pork tips on the other hand were not near as good. Pretty dry, very gristly, and just overall not that great.
For the main dish, we had two 8-in pizzas (appetizers) and a sandwich. We ordered a bacon pizza and a brisket pizza. Both were excellent, but they bacon pizza was our favorite! The sandwich on the other hand was nothing to brag about. Pretty blah, and just basic. Not a lot of flavor, but wasn't bad either. Would not order that again. Pizza on the other hand, I would order tomorrow if I were there.
Been here many times with our boys and we enjoy it. Family friendly. Dog friendly, which has proven awkward a few times….. dog people…… Menu is a little cookie cutter, quality of food is good and everything usually tastes great. I do not recommend the salmon BLT and the only time we tried the bruschetta the flavor seemed off. I do recommend the Cuban, meatball sandwich, and pizzas. Salads are pretty solid. It is very reasonably priced for the quality of food, I think it could be elevated and the good people of this world would appreciate it. Beer is great, I love the fireside, winter warmer, hardway, and most other beers I’ve had poured. We are beer club members and I enjoy the perks/coming in once a month to dine affordably with my family. That’s all I have for now, cheers!
Best pizza I have ever had! I know that’s a bold statement but it’s true. My whole family loves this place. The place is small and quaint. Homey and warm. Just perfect! The service is top notch as well! Give it a shot! You won’t be disappointed!
Great beer and great tasting pizza with a lot of variety! Awesome place!
New favorite hangout for sure. Food is always amazing and service has been wonderful. Martie (sp) always takes care of us, she told us about the VIP program. Definitely worth the money.
Pros:
1) Good pizza
2) Lunch option on weekdays with $10 for a small 8 inch pizza plus a salad
Cons:
1) Small amount of group seating area
2) Seating choices slightly eclectic (park benches, high tables, low tables, patio tables, bar, etc…)
3) Bathrooms are weird (men’s is just urinal, and the women’s and family restrooms are just single stalls - everyone shares the same two sinks)
4) Building feels slightly run down
Truly enjoyed this brewpub location. Pizza's made on the stone and the sizes are very manageable. The Abbey Belgium Dubbel and the Bourbon Barrel Abbey were delicious brews. We also got a specialty meat pizza which rocked! The place has a real good vibe and can sit outside or inside. The staff was efficient, respectful, and very patient. We parked around back and was met at the door with an extremely friendly hostess. Would definitely go back.
Wonderful evening! Great amber beers! Great BBQ wings! Great KC Cubano!
Only thing missing is fries. ;)
Absolutely love Martin City Brewing. Probably the best brewery pub in KC Metro area. Amazing lunch specials. Beers are top notch. Always have some barrel-aged, Brett beer, unique offerings. I have never been disappointed, EVER!!! You will regret not stopping.
