Subway token was great surprise drink mixing bourbon and white wine. I also liked honey shrimp and grits. My guest enjoyed Lobster Mac & Cheese.

The menu was amazing and such great service. Those cinnamon rolls though - be prepared to order a million, both to eat during your meal and then to take home to enjoy and not share with anyone else.
The deviled eggs are a must for an appetizer.
I had the steak and eggs and highly recommend.
The bacon is amazing, as well.
Basically don't sleep on this brunch - it's a good one!

The decor is really neat and gives the restaurant personality. The prices were decent. Great fresh oyster, but the grilled ones had too much other stuffing in it and not much of the oyster itself. Great fish and chips as well.

Plaza has many amazing seafood restaurants and Jax Fish House is one of them. I believe they introduced a new menu in 2021 and I absolutely love the new menu. The chef did a great job putting together amazing seafood dishes. I once had a special dish that was a Fried Australian Prawns over Polenta and broccolini and it was absolutely amazing. They also have special happy hour menu for especial occasions such as st. Patrick’s or Christmas.

So excited that I found this spot tucked in the West Plaza area in KCMO. I came here for the oysters and I wasn’t disappointed. Service was good and the inside was inviting. It has a laidback ambiance and you can go enjoy a small bite to eat with others or even enjoy a meal solo. I recommend this spot for happy hour deals or an intimate dinner.

Food was amazing and our waitress, Regan, was even better! We sampled several items including Crackerjax oysters we delicious. Maybe the best calamari I've ever had, a hotdogs covered slaw and crab meat was amazing and a solid gumbo! Refreshing unique mixed drinks and a good wine selection. Great place to hangout for a while during happy hour like we did! Enjoy! 😋

Great service. Great food. We were in town for my friend’s wedding and got the chance to stop by here. They were close to closing, but still gave us exceptional service and the food was amazing! Fresh and cooked perfectly!

My GF was craving seafood for her birthday and choose Jax out of every restaurant in the area, while it might not be the fanciest restaurant the food is by far much better IMO.. our server ( can’t remember her name) older lady dark hair was great! She answered all of our questions and even gave us recommendations as this was our first time here. My GF went with the “line” entree and subbed out raw oysters for chargrilled and wow they were amazing. The Lobster and crab legs were delicious as well. I went with the Salmon and pork belly collards, some of the best salmon I’ve had! So much flavor! My GF and I can’t wait to come back and try other menu items! TY Jax for hosting an awesome birthday dinner for my GF.

We ordered the oysters, peel and eat shrimp, scallops and the snow crab legs. Everything was delicious and our server Shelia was awesome.

Absolutely perfect!!! Took the wife on a date night which including Jax Fish House. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and immediately seated. Our waiter Ramon didn’t waste time to ensure we were well taken care of. To start the night out I ordered a, “Apple of my Rye” cocktail and my wife ordered a, “Fall on your mule”. Both were made without disappointment. Ramon continued to check in on us until we finally ordered. My wife ordered, “Grilled Verlasso Salmon” and of course I had to try the , “Full crawfish and andouille sausage gumbo” with a order of, “SD Bacon Fat Cornbread “ and Lobster Mac. We both shared the gumbo. My wife’s family is from New Orleans and she clearly was happy with Jax’s version complemented by the corn bread. My Lobster Mac was creamy, had fresh chunks of lobster meat and was very flavorful. My wife ate all of her salmon and described it as amazing with burst of different flavors as well. Needless to say there were no take home boxes this go around and if we could we would’ve tried everything that night. As we left it appeared the manager held the door open for us and Thanked us for our visit. Make sure to ask for Ramon as your server and if you want an elegant but yet down south feel of hospitality enjoy Jax fish house and oyster.

This was tuff. So upset but the flavor was great. Ordered the halibut and asked, "because I'm hungry, is it pretty good size." Yes was the response. Plus it come with this other side or what ever. Almost walked out when they showed up with a tiny piece of fish over a thin bed of clovers and not even a salad. Price was too high. Food was amazing
.. service was amazing.. but I was hungry, left hungry. Spending 50 for one meal should never leave u hungry..

It's difficult to find good seafood in Kansas City, but Jax delivers. House-smoked salmon on their buttery crispy Salmon Rillette Melt, sweet and tender lump crab in their crab cakes (highly recommend) in addition to their respectable oyster list. Service is awesome and friendly, and if you can get Monk as your waiter he's fantastic.
I had recently had a bad experience during restaurant week lunch when they were slammed, but management responded to my review comments, and listened to my concerns. Management genuinely cares about their customers' experiences. I've had some great meals here over the years and I look forward to my next one!

We had such a great time along with absolutely delicious food. I ordered the scallops and grits as a side.We had mussels for an appetizer along with their amazing wedge and hush puppies.
Our server was Chris that was so very attentive and has an incredible memory, thank you for a great night 🙂💖

A bit overpriced compared to other places were you can have the same seafood plates. Everything ordered was really tasty and good though, Tuna steak, salmon and sword fish. The Variety of oyster options was a hit and I liked the way this place describes them. Lora the waitress was the best thing in this restaurant. She must be kept at all cost. Excellent service and menu descriptions.

Absolutely delightful dining experience!!! Greeted with smiles and seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The plate presentations were so visually appealing, and the food was so flavorful. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Kansas City.
