Great place, I don’t really understand the critics.. food is good Mexican good and the waitress is passionate and super sweet! Don’t expect to be seated in 5 minutes but hey, its island time so take the time and it will be a great experience. There are always haters but this is just a very good restaurant, it is worth trying!

Suggested by a local resident and didn’t disappoint. El Chile Relleno is located in Ko’olau Centre in Ahuimanu across the Valley of the Temples. Authentic Mexican cuisine and decor. Excellent service…our server even spoke Spanish. We ordered the sizzling chicken fajitas and it was plenty for two.

I’ve been here three or four times and I absolutely love it. The food is amazing and the service even better. Last time we went, we ordered fried ice cream and it was also really good! We’ve also gone with our dog and ate at an area right outside the restaurant with tables. All the times we’ve been there, we’ve had the same waitress and she’s super sweet and friendly (and speaks Spanish)! We’ve had a great experience every time we go. Definitely recommend.

Fresh food, authentic Mexican cocina, in a beautiful location. Staff was very friendly. Stunning views, and beautifully decorated inside. A local favorite, we’ll be back. We got the Traditional Chili Relleno and a Veggie Fajita Bowl.

When you enter Chile Relleno you leave the sterile strip mall to a very different world. The wooden sculpture that greets you is beautiful.
The staff is nice and helpful. We go here about once a month and never have any issues.
The food is really good. I can't speak to the authenticity, but everything is flavorful. Even the beans and rice are tasty.
