Los Caporales

We were craving Mexican and found this place. Friendly staff, not overrun with tourists and great food. Huge portions! The huckleberry margarita was just what I needed after a long day of hiking. We liked it so much we went back the second night to try it again. Things to improve would be the salsa as it is very watery.

Best Mexican restaurant by far! Was a little hard to get around in a wheelchair. They have a step to the casino so you will need help because the bathroom is in the casino . The bathroom isn't exactly wheelchair friendly either you have to move a stool to get in and the toilet paper holder blocks you too. Other than that the service was fast, happy, and a lot of food for your money! I will be coming back!

This family owned restaurant on the outskirts of kalispell may have a quaint look at first glance, do not be fooled. After returning from Cabo San Lucas and the surrounding areas 2 days ago I’ve of course had the enviable vacation blues. If you’ve visited, you would understand the food is just not the same. So upon a thought sitting at home, I gave them a ring and ordered my usual. A dinner Quesadilla with chicken, no sour cream for $11.70 for a tray of 2 days worth of food. Now I have grown up in this valley and had that same meal for relatively the same price for what seems to be 10+ years with this restaurant every so often. With the culture of the restaurant representing the identity of Mexico, it does a fine job.95% of the time myself and my group are satisfied. Sometimes you get a employee not so experienced pass through but that’s normal for any business. The staff is polite and when we spoke on the phone they apologized in advance for a price increase that will have to take place later this year due to ingredient cost. They always give me x2 guacamole without charge because I don’t like sour cream. I would give you 6 stars If it meant I could help this business more. It’s restaurants like this that will keep this country what it is, and if you are visiting town I strongly recommend you give it a chance. You may not be in Mexico but with the friendliest staff, the amount and quality of the food, and enough Coronas. You just might be able to feel like it. Cheers.

Great visit for dinner. We were seated quickly, salsa up right away, happy staff, drinks served fast, order taken and food served beautifully. A very young staff that definitely impresses!! Great job!! Food is delicious and the bar knows how to make a great drink that is not watered down. You always know a good Mexican restaurant by the salsa!!
