Food was good and the shakes were delicious. Short wait for the food but it came out warm. Nice stop off the freeway a lot better then any fast food restaurant but you couldn’t tell by the prices.
Staff was friendly, food was good, & the beer was nice and cold! I would have given 5 stars except their mens restroom was absolutely revolting! Sure it was just bad timing. But still.
The burger was everything I had hoped with a better than expected bun. I wish there were more fries to the large, and they could have salted them more. Sad I didn't get salt or fry sauce with the meal, just 6 ketchup packets. Milk shake was excellent. I'll be coming back.

What a wonderful find. On our way home and time for lunch. Started looking for somewhere to get lunch. It turned out that Kalama was a convenient place to get off the freeway. The food was excellent and service was fast. We will make it one of our regular stops when traveling I-5.
Great place, more similar in quality/taste to Burgerville, if you want to compare it to a "burger joint" most people would be familiar with, but better quality (and a little cheaper, too!) 😁 it's definitely a top pick for that area, and love that it looks like a little "shack". They even made me a strawberry-peppermint shake even though peppermint wasn't on the menu! 😊
This is a popular place. It's an old fashioned time nostalgic kinda place that has good fish burgers and yummy old fashioned shakes.
The burgers used to be better but, the last time I got one, the patties were super thin, and the taste wasn't that great. Maybe they changed the co they get their supplies from? This place is slowly changing like the good ol places usually do. 😌 prices of supplies get to them and they start going down hill. I hope that it was a momentary fluke and that goes back to its normal good place to eat old fashioned cooking.
