BEST greens we've had in a long time!!
I had the catfish with greens and Mac and cheese. Husband had chicken wings, greens and Mac and cheese. Lunch also came with a serving of sweet cornbread. Everything was really good! I could have made a meal just eating greens!!

We had a wonderful lunch. Fresh fried pork chops, wings, & okra! Cornbread was a treat. Lovely to chat with owner. Great food, get there early for best selection of food! Thanks!

Laid back atmosphere, took me back to my days stationed at ft bragg in North Carolina; very reminiscent of the south. Unless you like true,southern sweet tea,don't get it,is real sweet. I ordered the fried chicken,but made it the dinner with Mac'n'cheese, which was very rich with the different cheeses used, green beans, which had good flavor plus small chunks of ham as well, and fried okra,fried to a perfect golden brown,and topped with a piece of traditional southern cornbread. The fried chicken does take a bit longer than anything else, as its breaded and cooked to order,which takes approximately 15 minutes. It's been a very long time since I've had fried chicken this moist,and not from oil. The dredge,as with everything else,has good flavor and is well seasoned,but not overpowering. There was only one server during my visit; one of the owners, and I've never heard"excuse my reach" so much in a short period of time. Very well mannered and respectful, as well as knowledgeable of the day's specials. Price wise, it's not over priced,but you get what you pay for,and I was very satisfied with my experience. I will definitely come back when I'm able to do so.

Possibly the best meal I’ve ever eaten. The food (and sweet tea) were amazing. I had the fried chicken, macaroni, and greens. They were all among the best I’ve had anywhere. Also sampled ham and beans, fried okra, and sweet potatoes from my friend’s plate. Equally wonderful. Service was perfect and the space was welcoming. You need to eat here!

Chicken with waffles, fried okra and brown beans.... So delicious, excellent. Very nice family environment. Love it. Fried chicken everyday. The baked chicken, so tender, it's unbelievable. Coffee with hint of cinnamon out if this place, but the BEST is the service, they will treat you and spoiled you like home. Never disappoint!! Will give 10⭐ if I could.

Me' s is such a wonderful place to eat. My husband and I ate there today for the first time, it was like going home to grandmas for Sunday dinner. The greens and fried chicken will not disappoint, and the cabbage was so good and full of flavor. Melody was very nice, you can tell that she put her foot in them greens though, oh my... And the gooey cake was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Looking forward to eating there again.

First of all a little pricey but everything is these days but if you're willing to spend a little more for some good food polite service nice dining room there give it a try a hidden gem in Joplin when the food is gone it's closed
