Absolutely fabulous. The bearnaise on the perfectly cooked salmon was amazing. I had the milk braised pork shoulder and, without regret, I will have dreams about it. There are probably three other items on the menu that I'm dying to try and a daily changing menu makes that a challenge. Challenge accepted. The best part? Every plate is $10 cheaper than it would be downtown. Value for good food in Charleston? Not easy to find. if you've gotten this far in this review, you're going anyway. Make reservations right now. AWESOME outdoor seating too.

Had a wonderful experience at the Fat Hen. The atmosphere was warm and friendly despite social distancing and mask wearing, which is reassuring. I had the swordfish special and it was amazing my boyfriend had the beef short rip which was spectacular. Its a little pricey but worth it. We will definitely be going back.

Great food and awesome atmosphere. I ended up ordering the braised short ribs which were amazing and paired really well with the cheesy grits. The service was something to be desired as we waited for quite a while for our plates to be cleared and to have our water refilled.

The food is among the most delicious in the Charleston area! As a warning, there is bacon in nearly every dish which will significantly limit options for some people. The staff were overwhelmed and unhappy

Great flavors across the board. Have tried many of the firsts and mains, and all were 👌. Atmosphere in the coop is great and could imagine this place goes off in good weather.

The atmosphere is right on point for this spot. We enjoyed a full brunch starting with the Bellinis, and ordering on of the specials as well as an off the menu item. The burrito was full of flavor and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The Cuba sandwich was delectable, but their was little distinction from the ham and pork belly. The Green tomatoes appetizef... well it went so fast we forgot to grab a picture. Topped off with the brownie, which was good, but could tell it was not fresh. Overall we would repeat our visit to enjoy the unique atmosphere and flavors.

Very good food in a friendly atmosphere. Went with four adults and a toddler and really enjoyed our experience. The fried squash blossom appetizer was delicious, the scallops were very good, and the wine list was very reasonably priced. Definitely a place to remember for future visits.
