Reviews of The Deck Down Under

We had a fantastic time there. Jerry did a great job with our table. I had the cod and it was great. My husband said his fried catfish was the best he's had except down south. The coleslaw wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. Wasn't thrilled about the hush puppies. Overall, the fish was very good and the server was great. We'll be back.

The first thing that concerned me was that the server was not wearing a mask as stated on their website. Servers who are handling and standing over your food need to be wearing masks without fail. The food was not even close to what we have experienced there in the past. The "house salad" consisted of lettuce, some small diced tomato pieces, and a few croutons. Honestly the plainest house salad I have had anywhere. The onion rings and fries were lukewarm at best but definitely did not just come out of a fryer. They tasted like they had been cooked earlier and reheated. The whole meal just seemed like they have given up, and for the price it just was an overall disappointment.
