I love this place, their food is always great but they are pricey. If you get an oxtail meal don’t expect to get a lot of it lol.
Ob's food is always the best, I have been going to OB,S since I was a kid way before they started doing food, remember the twins ladies can't remember there names, but whenever I came in they knew my name and always greeting me with a smile the beef patty and coco bread is amazing I wash under 10, now I'm in my 50's whenever I come back to NYC that's the first place I hit REAL HOME FOOD
The food here is always fresh. well seasoned and delicious. I have catered the salmon 2 years in a row for Thanksgiving and both times my guess were pleased. Definately not cheap, however worth it. Never had a bad experience.
The food is good very expensive little shrimp, but I enjoyed it
Never felt like cooking so the kids and I went to purchase food there and went back home to eat. My son had the curried shrimp and rice and peas. He said it was good. My daughter had fried chicken and pasta, the chicken was seasoned well and very crispy and nice. I had a mix of oxtail and crispy shrimp with a spanish salad with cranberries and walnut....let me tell you it was one of the best tasting oxtails I have ever had and i have had a few. The shrimp was really good too but both combined with that salad and ripe plantain ...my taste buds were enjoying a taste of heaven. Prices and portion size are really good. The staff are patient and friendly. Environment is clean. I recommend you give this restaurant a try, you will not have any regrets.
It's wonderful Caribbean style food. Oxtail Curry gold ribs peas with rice spinach rice chicken salmon snapper and a large variety of other meals that are great to enjoy.
My fave dishes are the sweet chili salmon and Rasta Pasta. My only is they never have potato salad 😂. There was a new young server today. She’s really nice and patient. The older workers tend to disregard me when I order. Still gave them a 5/5 because the food is just that good

Great service in placing catering order from Joycinth. Pardon If name is spelled wrong. We are long standing customers. Food is always great never fail. Every party we have we cater from Ob's Bakery Restaurant.
No one wants to go into any food arena and have to stand for an hour just to wait for your food even though you called hours ahead of time a.ka. "The Door Restaurant"!!! Well I'm pleased to share that this is not that kind of place. It's so fast, so "IN AND OUT" and that's why I keep coming back. It's well prepared delicious Jamaican food at an extremely reasonable price. Yes you can even treat the kids on a small friendly budget unlike the Door🚪 Restaurant which is literally located across the street.
