Hot Wok

I travel back and forth to take my 14 year old son to cancer treatment. I ordered through Uber eats and accidentally put in the wrong address and my first thought was to immediately cancel and reorder as I had placed the order less than 2 minutes prior. It was my first time ordering through Uber eats and I was not aware that they would take my money and not refund me. The email stated that the merchant excepted the order and they will still be paid but I would not get my food. I reached out to Uber eats and they were not helpful and pretty much told me that there was nothing they could do and I would not be refunded. I called hot wok and they were absolutely amazing. Having no idea how much of a panic I was in, thinking I had just lost $60 and wasn’t going to get my food. They advised me to reach out to Uber eats which I had already done. I tried reaching out to them a second time explaining that I could just pick up my food if they were already paying the merchant. They told me no, that I would be out all that money and to pay more attention next time. To my surprise I got a call from hot wok who offered to reach out to them, they called me back and sorted everything out and allowed me to come pick up my food. I have two happy kiddos as we wait for my son to receive his radiation treatment. Thank you for being awesome.

Good Chinese take out. Extensive menu with many popular dishes. All cooked to order. The restaurant is clean and quaint. However, the only thing missing was the subtle ambience of soft Oriental music. I recommend this take out for anyone trying to enjoy some good Asian cuisine. They're located in the five flags area.

Hot Wok was really good! Familiar menu and the food tastes great. I usually get heartburn from take-out but I didn't get any heartburn or anything, which was nice. The staff are cool and welcoming. Delivery seems fast too, though we waited in the restaurant, the delivery driver came and went several times. Much better than China Joy. I don't even live in Riverside and come to eat this Chinese food.

Excellent wonton soup. I did have to ask for scallions but that's no big deal. What I did not like was all of the tables were kind of sticky as if they use the same washcloth to wipe all five tables. The bathroom was clean. And they were patient as I just tried to decide what type of fried rice I wanted. I've been to places where they want you to hurry up even if there's no one behind you.
