Friendly local game store specializing in tabletop games, RPG's and Magic the Gathering among others. An exceptional warm and cozy environment with a helpful and polite staff. The food is fresh and the drinks are delicious, and with the new move, they've onky gotten more ambitious.
This store is also somewhat kid friendly, and the staff are all too capable and willing to foster creativity and community in the kids by helping to gently teach game rules and help answer gaming questions.
Last but far from least, the Java game haus is a diverse and inclusive workplace and space that takes a stand against bigotry and knows better than to tolerate regressive hateful ideologies in its doors.
Whether you are new or old to RPG's, MTG, or just looking to find a new hobby destination, JGH is the place to go.
I have participated in play events at this location twice. They are well organized and the space is great. They also obviously care about and want to support the local gaming community. I have personally observed them choose to sell a scarce product for about half what it could be sold for in order to allow local players to have access to an otherwise unavailable product at a reasonable price. As a business they chose to put their customers ahead of maximizing profit for themselves. Please support this local store and reward their commitment to the local gaming community.
Whether you want to come in to play card/board games with friends, play on your laptop, grab some game related merch, or just have a coffee and a bite, they've got it all, and I really enjoyed staying each time I've come. Great job guys, hope you keep growing!
Came here from Tallahassee and was greeted and given great customer service. It was a great overall experience. If we're ever back in Jacksonville, we will definitely stop by again!
Amazing find!! My husband and I love boardgames. We were going out to eat in a restaurant in the same plaza there was a 40 minute wait so we decided to stop in and play some games while we waited. They have coffee, little sandwiches, pastries and it was like $5 to play we had such a great time that after dinner we went back and played some more! It's just a really cool idea to play board games in a different atmosphere than just your kitchen table at home.
Great place to hang out and have coffee or play games with friends and family. This place is huge with hundreds of board games to choose from. Close late too.
Used to come here to play boardgames with friends and it was fun. But I've now gotten into magic the gathering and love coming here and playing with new friends I made at Java.
All the workers make me feel like I'm a part of a happy family being there. It's much better then other business where the workers act like they don't want to exist.
This place is the best place to go to play magic and boardgames, meet some cool people, and to buy all the TCG, Warhammer, etc. Products you could need.
I went here for the first time today and it's so cute. It smells really good inside. Theres such a variety of people who come in and out. They have TONS of board games to play. Theres big tables for people who wanna play dnd with their group.
Also they have their own take on butterbeer and oooohhhh my God it's so good, please try it.
