Istanbul Grill & Bakery. The dishes have good taste, nice presentation and good quantity. The price is reasonable, the place is amazing. We did a tour after eating the whole place and they have everything! My recommendation is to try Turkish food and drink, excellent! Definitely We will come back

I'm not very familiar with this cuisine, but it's amazing. So flavorful. The samosas were amazing and the paneer was so good. I enjoyed everything so much.

Just tried mosaic cake from Istanbul grill and bakery and it was so delicious, lahmacun also as you know, perfect. I like the vibe too, clean and fresh place.

The goat karahi was a bit greasy and there wasn't a lot of meat on the bones, but it did taste good along with everything else I had gotten.

Very tasty no frills Indian food. Delicious. It's attached to an authentic (considering place was full of Indonesian, Turkish, and various Middle Eastern ppl) middle eastern grocery store. Legit butcher. Great fresh local and exotic produce has alot of things you won't find at any other stores. Also has an amazing Turkish bakery at the next counter over.

The new location is huge!! They have so many options and vegetables are fresh. I have always bought meat from apna Bazaar and now they have a separate a section for meat(4th image attached). I have recommended this to my friends and would definitely visit Apna again.

Best Spicy Dal Tadka EVER. Bigger and nicer dining area than expected, but this food would make great take out, too. Love that this place is near a grocery store, you can do everything in one spot.

Excellent Indian food! Great prices. It's tiny, and connected to the Indian grocery store... very few tables inside. It would be best to order take out or delivery from here. I ordered the mixed grill, tandoori, and garlic naan. All were delicious. I want to try the masala, korma and vindaloo next time.

Yummy indian food. lots of veg options (for vegetarians) and grilled kebabs were just outstanding in appetizers. We also did chicken tikka masala which was great. Biryani was a bit under-spiced for an indian person but overall the taste is authentic indian and very delicious. Thank you.

The chicken 65 appetizer is great! The mixed grill platter, pictured, was massive, good value for the price. Service was good, though the chicken not on the bone was a little dry. Still a hearty recommend.

Easily Vegan Friendly
BEST meals I have had in a restaurant in 5 years. I travel frequently for my charity work and could eat anywhere I want. I tried Apna because they appeared to have several vegan options. I arrived and the Indian-Pakistani restaurant was tucked in a grocery store. You can eat in (6?) tables, or carry out like I did. $11 for a decent sized meal. I got the Vegetable Vindaloo for lunch and it was SO GOOD I went back the next day and got it again for lunch and Vegetable Jalfrezi for dinner!! (Naan is not vegan so got it with rice). I got some vegetable samosas, fresh fried, 2 for $3 the first day and then some pre-cooked ones at the grocery store the next day for $1 each.
I NEVER give 5 stars because 99.9% of the restaurants I would not care if I ever visited again. THIS WAS GOOD FOOD and was SO EASY to eat vegan. Next time I am in town I will ONLY eat here.

First timer, now new fan. We went there after their lunch buffet was over but they told us we could still get the buffet but no new items will be added because the left overs, the employees would finish. We didnt mind eating left overs so we stayed. There were not as many options as other Middle Eastern buffets however the quality of the food was awesome for the choices they offered. The owned even made us fresh nan which were soft and tastey. Most places, their nan were basically just pita bread that were reheated but I think this place makes their own. I will definitely recommend this place if you care about the quality of the food more so than the quantity. They do have menus which you can order from as well.

This place has some of the best Indian food in jax. All of the dishes are phenomenal! All the staff are very nice and friendly, the waiter is a little shy, and the head chef is great. He is very open and expressive and really takes pride in his work. He even showed my wife, my mother and I how naan is made! I will admit the first time I came here it felt little creepy because so few people were here, but over time this place has really grown on me. And most importantly the food is great.

A vegetarian's review - worst Indian Restaurant in town. Wow! I am amazed at the overwhelming positive reviews about this restaurant.

From the couple of times I had their lunch buffet, what it truely deserves is a one star, if not less. The empty tables which greet you as you enter the dining area vouches for this.

* Very limited options for buffet.
* Roti was good. Rest of the food was OK - not great.
* They pass off cheap imitations of some great indian desserts as authentic. Last time they had something which they wanted us to believe as rose kheer, but which had not even a distant resemblence to that. Apparently they have just poured some rose water from their grocery store next-door, into a crude porridge made of milk & broken wheat.
* Waitress who served us did not know English and stared at us when asked for warm water, mumbling something in Spanish (which I do not understand).
* For this pedestrian food & service, they charge slightly more than other Indian Restaurants in town, which I consider as a rip off.

If you are a genuine Indian food lover, I have my ratings (on lunch buffet) on the Indian Restaurants in JAX below:

Food
> Masala (8 stars)
> 5th element (6 stars)
> Flavors (2 stars)
> Apna (1 star)

Service
> Masala (4 stars)
> 5th element (5 stars)
> Flavors (6 stars)
> Apna (1 star)

Excellent. Spicy and aromatic. The restaurant is fairly basic, no beer served, soda comes in cans, but the food more than compensates. Any Brits missing their late night curries should try this place.

If you are craving Indian style food for lunch, and can't make it down to Baymeadows, this place will do the trick, but it isn't awesome. It really isn't even good, but it is almost good.

Impressive. I had the Barani rice and chicken vindaloo and chicken pakor. The food was really good. I actually enjoyed the food, even though I'm not big at eating Indian food. But. Decided to try it because their meat is halal.

Good Lunch Buffet. Stopped there today for the first time (was heading to Sala Thai but they were closed.) Everything we tried on the smallish buffet was quite good and we will return. Nice dessert assortment, some of the best tandoori chicken we've had, good selection of vegetarian dishes along with chicken and what seemed to be goat curry. A stroke of good luck for us that Sala Thai was closed! We now look forward to trying the dinner menu.

I am a Fan!. I decided to order delivery from Apna Restaurant. After reading some of the reviews I was nervous to do so but I decided to follow the positive reviews instead. I am glad I did!!! I order the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious! I will be calling again every time I crave Indian food which is often! Delivery time is a bit of a long wait but I thought it was well worth it for me.

Great food and service. I love the lunch buffets and their rice pudding!

Great food. Apna has a great selection of dishes and very friendly staff. I was initially concerned about the timing of the arrival of our dishes. After the arrival of my friend's order of Lumpia, Very Good, I had to wait a little bit for my Milkfish to arrive. Just at the point of growing concern my dish arrived and boy was it worth the little extra wait. A light, mild fish was wrapped in foil and baked with tomatoes, garlic, seasoning, just fantastic.

After dinner I spent a few minutes speaking with a lovely lady named Jo who described some of the more popular dishes from the front cover. Let just say I'll be back to try more and with their very reasonable prices, I will be returning often.

Excellent!. Great food all around and a must-visit for anyone living in the area who's a fan of this region's food.
