I'm a lifetime customer of famous Amos , I love there Breakfast Cornbeef hash & Grits . My favorite. I don't know what brand coffee they're using but It could be better.

Stopped in coming from Ravens win over Jaguars. Our server was great! We had a party of 6, which included 2 toddlers and the waitress knocked it out of the park. The food was excellent. My wife was apprehensive of the grits, but they made her a believer. Wasn't crowded, hopefully that's because I was a Monday morning because this place should have had standing room only.

Famous amos has always been a favorite since I was a kid. Haven't been to a bad location ever and I've been to many of them. North Main st location is definitely one of the best still around.

Ok. Listen. If you want a home-cooked breakfast like your grandma use too make. This is the place. When I say everything was perfect. I had the breakfast special( grits, my eggs over medium bacon and toast).
I had to know who were the cooks( Mr Jimmy and Patrick) O my. My grits where smooth no lumps, my eggs just right and the bacon thin crisp not that thick bacon. It was so good I eat everything and really wanted to lick the plate. Until I realized O I'm in a public place and not at grandma house.(lol) My waitress Victoria was right on point for what ever I needed at my table along with Edie the host with her smile.

French toast was very good. Beef omelette delicious with grits. Chopped steak breakfast with homemade biscuits.Egg and American cheese was good.Hash browns cooked with perfection.
