The food is so, so good and they have all these cool masks from around the world. I usually get the garlic noodles but I've never tried anything from here that I didn't like. The staff is always kind and sometimes it can take a while for your food to come out but they're making it from scratch.
This is my second time at Foo Dog, but I forgot to take a picture the first time and came back again to get a picture.
When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the gentleman operating the register. I told him I was waiting on a couple of people, and he asked if I wanted a beverage while I waited. I asked for a soda and prepared to pay, but he said he'd ring it up when I ordered.
I looked at the menu and decided to order the same thing I tried previously, the Canada Butter Curry, which comes over fries. The only change was that I ordered pork instead of chicken. It was delectable. As a person who doesn't handle spice, the spice level was perfect. For those who love spice, the kitchen offers spice levels 1-5 with a spicy chili sauce or a spicy kimchi sauce to spice to spice it up more as you wish.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, with friendly patient service. Delivery and pickup options are available as well.
With plenty of seating and parking out front, it's a great place for families, friends, or treating yourself to lunch. I highly recommend Foo Dog Curry House for your curry desires.
Delicious food! We were a group of 8 and everyone got something the Buddha's korma and my daughter the fried rice. We shared the Apple Autumn Rolls and some friends got the fried shrimp and the jackfruit to share with the table and everything was delicious. The sauce for the Apple Autumn roll didn't pair well, in my opinion, but the sauce was good and I could see somebody else enjoying it. One important note, at first the server seemed a bit standoffish and slightly annoyed but she warned up quickly and gave good service. Since I really enjoyed this place I thought I would just leave a bit of helpful advice. As someone who has worked in food service and in other customer service oriented jobs, first impressions are very important. If it seems like you don't want us to be there then probably most people won't stick around or come back. Show that you're happy customers are coming in. But like I said she gave good service after we placed our orders and was attentive.
Really great spot next to Bold Bean. The dining has a great modern Thai feel. A great range of curry options with plenty of vegan options as well. Their Thai Iced tea is made fresh and on point. Will definitely be back.
We shared the butter chicken over rice, the lion city lily curry and veggie samosas. Very good. They don't serve Naan because they want to keep the entire menu gluten free.
First time ordering here, menu breakdown was very easy, wait time was less than 10 minutes and food came out amazing. 10/10 recommend
Awesome menu!
Long time wanted-to-eat-here, first time diner! I really should've gotten here sooner. It was amazingly good and I really need this to be a chain with one near my home.
The lime Curry was stellar. I got it mild (I forgot to add heat) but adding some of their chili/garlic paste was incredibly delicious. Added shrimp which was fried (wasn't expecting that) and it was just the perfect meal.
The Curry and chips app was fantastic as well and all together very satisfying. Wife had the Lili and took much of it home.
Highly recommend if you love curry!
Actually, I highly recommend it even if u don't. Why? Because they had more than just red/ yellow/green/Panang and it was way more delicious than your typical fares.
Try it.
Next time, I think I'll try the Ginger Mushroom Noodles. Almost had em on this trip but I had to try the Curry, y'know? Well, now I know!
I can’t believe I have not written a review for this place. This place is one of my favorite eateries in the city, and I believe that it is HIGHLY underrated. One of my favorite things, if not my favorite thing on the menu, is the vegan popcorn chicken. It is delicious! I personally really enjoyed the curry mimosas as well. They come with a sweet date chutney. The Canadian dish is also sooooo good! There’s honestly not anything I wouldn’t recommend. Try something, come back, and try something different! Great vegan options and non-vegan options alike 👌🏽 Oh! Did I also mention that everything here is gluten-free too?!
Growing up Asian, and eating curry, I was delighted to find this restaurant while visiting Jacksonville FL.. Since the wife has to be gluten free, this place was a double win. Food quality was excellent, and made to order, small but interesting location, with a small dining area. Very welcoming. I definitely recommend this establishment.
Food has been fresh Everytime I go, very nice and intimate atmosphere. 🩵💯Love that the portions match the price as well as flavor.
