We started going to Trivia at Wild Wings in Tinsel Town on Tuesday nights. We were very pleased to find the food was delicious and the service excellent. The trivia is well run and a lot of fun. With five in our group, we order the whole spectrum of the menu and have never been disappointed in any meal.
First time was a good time.. I went there with two of my sons and my 3 yo granddaughter. We were in the area, and one of my sons had eaten lunch there before. We had a wait of about 5 minutes, not bad, since it was a football Saturday. The granddaughter didn't get too antsy waiting for the table or the food.
I had the David's Chicken and Friends, and my sons ordered a variety of wings. The bleu cheese wings that I tried really tasted of bleu cheese, and they were crispy, not sauced, and the next time I go, I will certainly have an order of those wings.

Did you know they have a buffet?. I'm a wing fan. Who isn't right? I feel like I have huge hands when I eat those tiny little wings. Am I hungry or am I just on a power trip? Or this just an excuse to put bleu cheese on something? Probably a combination of all of those. Let me get started with this review.
Location: Right in front of the Tinseltown movie theater located on Southside Blvd. They are in a tight group of rivals. There is a Hooters about 90ft away. Behind Wild Wing Cafe is Seven Bridges and then about a couple blocks the other way is the Mandarin Ale House and Tilted Kilt. So, lots of choices when it comes to wings and other types of bar food.
Interior: Wide open! Booths along the edge of the building then a big stage to the right when you walk in. Lots of tables in the open area. Decent sized bar but always seems hard to get to. There is a covered outside area with TV's too. The place is clean. The wait staff is all clad in short shorts and deep v-neck shirts on the ladies to encourage tipping from the young customers.
Food: This is my first take out food review. I called in at 11:30pm to get an order to go and bring back to my work. I ordered fried mushrooms (plump button mushrooms in a beer batter served with a special dipping sauce) as an appetizer and 16 wings (Red, Hot & Bleu) with 2 extra sides of Bleu Cheese dressing. First off, the "special dipping sauce" was actually straight up Ranch Dressing. They weren't even trying to fool anyone so why bother label it as anything but Ranch on the menu? Since when is Ranch Dressing considered "special"? The mushrooms themselves were pretty good. The batter flavoring was nice and subtle. Definitely enough for 2-3 people to share. Not a one person sized order. They were hot and fresh tasting, even after driving 15 minutes back to work. Now the wings, they were really good. Very hot and flavorful. The description says the bleu cheese is cooked right in but I can't really tell. It seems like a cajun ranch type sauce, very good though. Not over the top spicy, so don't let the flavor name fool you. The one thing they did wrong: they gave me 2 ranch dressings while charging me for a total of 3 bleu cheese. You know how disappointing it is to get home and find out your order is wrong. If I was dining in, it would have been an easy fix. But I'm not driving back 15 minutes each way over some bleu cheese. The only critique of the wings is that they were a bit on the salty side. Very, very, very minor.
Overall Rating 1-10: 8.5 Very solid food besides the wrong dressings.
Cost: No drink on this order but it was 21.27 for an appetizer and wings
Would I eat here again: Of course. They are one of the better and constant wing places around. The really cool thing is that during lunch time on the weekdays, they have an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFALO WING buffet! How cool is that? I think it is just under 10 bucks and you get wings, tater tots and soup. Not many places have something like that.
What You'd Expect. I actually ate here a couple years ago because my father's friend knew the GM there at the time and said we should drop by. There was a great variety of flavors, and I was satisfied with the two different hot flavors I had. They had taste to them, not just heat, which is always a peril some joints suffer from. The onion rings were very good as well, and the service was good, but that point really might not hold much weight as there's too much turnover in a two year time period to really say it's a fair assessment of how the place is now. If you're tired of the same old wing flavors and aren't opposed to a wing joint atmosphere, give this place a try.
My Favorite Jacksonville Hangout!. I was in Jacksonville for business and stopped here for lunch one day and was very pleased. The food was great and the wait staff was top notch! Especially my waiter who's name I can not remember, but he was great! Whenever I am in Jacksonville again I know where I will be hanging out!!!!
Overall Its Great!. So I went there a few weeks ago with my cousin for her 21st on ladys night and it was great. I had the chicken wings with the southern something sauce, its a BBQ kind, but man it was good, along with the service too, and the whole place was just like a small party with food. They even had a great band, so half the place was pretty much buzzing and singing along to Freebird, good times. I tried a new drink while I was there called the Red Headed Slut which was pretty good [yager and vodka] but everyone else loved their drinks too. The only thing thats a downside is that the cops are crazy out there, I was trying to pull out and one was just parked in the middle of the parking lot, so watch out and always bring a DD.
Wing Buffet. The wing buffet is a good option for a quick lunch. The drinks are usually good, try a Vegas Bomb. They have a pretty nice selection of flavors as well. I have had a couple of other things off the menu, and the jury is still out on those.
We ate here three times in the last month and the wings had great flavor and decent size Tuesday they have two for one wings
Nice Wings and Atmosphere. While I am hardly likely to be influenced by the comely udders of the waitresses at this boisterous chicken wing outpost, I do appreciate the wings they serve! In addition to a comprehensive menu featuring burgers, ribs, and the usual suspects, there is a vast selection of chicken wings with so many sauces and styles that it is honestly hard to choose. We usually order the 'combo' platter and have the one of the aforementioned waitresses pick the flavors for us. The atmosphere is loud and can be noisy with screaming kids and blaring televisions but we've always had good service and quick refills on drinks.
Food was great !! Alot of flavor options too !! Alan was a great server and was very attentive to us the whole time !! We went with the special 30 wings for 20$ and tried the bubbas bbq, ranchilad , Parmesan , honey mustard and , ginger teriyaki !! All were really good !! Oh and the grande Queso dip was excellent too !! First time eating there and will definitely be return customers !!!
Called all over south Jacksonville looking for a place for our team dinner and found no love until we called Wild Wing Cafe. Not only did they accommodate us, the service was very attentive and fast for a large group. Excellent given the number of People. And the food made everyone happy. Thank you to Amanda who helped us organize this dinner and all her teammates for helping this team dinner go so well!!!!
Me and my husband are Keto and this place is so Keto friendly. Service is good. Food is Fantastic. My Favorite is the Wild Chef Salad.
It was my first time coming to Wild Wing Cafe on Southside blvd in Jacksonville Florida and I was having issues ordering online and the hostess was unable to fix the problem and had to call a manager. The manger there Kenny did an outstanding job resolving this problem. I was very pleased with service from here for the first time.
We came here during Happy Hour after our workshop at the Aloft. The wings are surprisingly great. Good service and decent price! I would definitely come back again.
Haven't been in about 8 years, but decided to go for my birthday. Expected a long wait time for a party of 9 on a Friday, but we were seated quickly. Great service from our waitress, food came out quickly and was delicious. Very friendly service, fun and hospitable experience with Kenny the manager. He made sure we were well set and happy. I have always been a fan of their wings, and wont wait so long before our next visit!
It was AWESOME!!! I had my going away party there and the staff and the food was excellent. I didn't have to pay a fee to have my event there, and everyone that showed up had an wonderful time.

Birthday dinner for my daughter. The staff was absolutely amazing! Our server was so attentive and was absolutely amazing and so helpful. And the manager, wow! He absolutely went above and beyond. He even enjoyed a slice of cheesecake. Thank you for a memorable evening. We'll definitely be back.
Me and hubby fav spot! Our waiter last night was Ivan If I’m not mistaken, was amazing!!!!!!!! Give that man a raise! He waited tables took orders and cooked and let me say that was the first time I have been in a while where I haven’t had any issues with my food everything was perfect! For him to have done all of it by himself yeah he did that! Recommend him anytime me and my husband come!

Kevin, the manager, and Alan , our waiter, were absolutely amazing! Alan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he had good advice about flavor’s and came by to check on us every few minutes. But not so many times to be annoying and he was so upbeat and funny. The next time we come here I’ll specifically look for him to wait on us.
Kevin, the manager, was so personable and pleasant. He came by a few times to see how we were and how the food was. I’ll be back here every couple of weeks to see my son and hang out with him. Definitely going to recommend this place to everyone I know.
