Yaya Sweets Greek Bakery

We needed a cake for a baby shower today and a well known but unnamed grocery store wouldn't even budge to help us, so I Googled Jacksonville Best Bakery and Ya Ya Sweets Bakery came up. I called them and they were so helpful! They let us text the photo of the cake design we wanted and went to pick it up two hours later. Their cake was even prettier than the photo. Now that's service! But it gets better - the cake was truly homemade and tasted even more yummy than it looked (and it was so pretty we didn't want to cut it). We love supporting small businesses and they will have more business from us. Thank you, Ya Ya! You helped make our day!

My niece Allyson revealed that she would like a mermaid cake to coincide with her mermaid themed 8th birthday party being held on August 29 immediately the search was on. Her mom decided not to purchase a cake from the traditional supermarket bakery, so after several online searches on bakeries and their reviews we finally discovered this hidden treasure YaYa Sweets Bakery. YaYa was a pleasure to meet having such professionalism and greeting us with a warm smile. She never once made us feel as though we were just another monetary figure for the cash register. YaYa was extremely attentive in finding out how the cake was to be designed. To say the least the cake was a HIT! It was not only a visual delight, it's taste and texture was awesome. Everyone was truly astonished when realizing that all the decorations were indeed eatable. There were countless complements from patrons, party guests, and employees alike where the party was being held. We were told that the cake was the best they'd seen come through their door. When the cake was shared, there were requests for the name and location of the bakery in which the cake was made. Thank you YaYa for putting smiles on the faces and taste buds and especially making an 8 year olds dream of a mermaid cake become a reality. You have now gained new and loyal patronts. The Baklava is amazing, we tried both the chocolate raspberry and the honey. I prefer the honey but my husband is a chocolate lover and his favorite is the chocolate. We picked up a key lime pie and it was balanced with just enough sweet and tangy. The graham cracker crust is substantial and holds firm, again not too sweet. The topping, a meringue, was light and not "weepy" - Overall, a fabulous pie! I'm heading back for a custom cake in the future and will report back on the results.

Tiny little shop with a whole lot going on. Owner is really fun to talk to and the goods are delicious. I had the honey walnut and my wife had a chocolate berry one. They went great with the complimentary coffee. Recommend a visit if you're in that part of town.
