High quality Indian food, with no gimmicks or short cuts. Worth spending extra $, compared to other Indian places in town. Meat and vegetarian dishes were equally good. Service was amazing and waiters and the owner were down to earth and very accommodating.
Stopped by for dinner and we came back for lunch. Would definitely come back for more.
My wife and I ate here yesterday and we thought it was better than the five other Indian restaurants we tried that are on, or have been on, Baymeadows Road. We were the first ones there for dinner, and the owner himself served us. He was fun to talk to, and he made sure we enjoyed everything. There were no long waits to get our orders. Our water was left on the table in a chilled, cool-, antique-looking, blue glass bottle. The inside of the place was clean and nicely decorated. Contemporary, upbeat, Indian music played. We both thought our food was great. The menu had many wines conveniently organized by the type of meat they pair with. They have both lamb and goat. The prices were typical, except that on Monday through Wednesday, a second dinner costs only half. There are also drink specials...at least I noticed there are for beer...
We arrived at the closing lunch time and the food was mostly gone (Cant blame them). Usually the owners will not refill but Zesty staff were sweet enough to prepare the food we requested off the buffet. Being a buffet, it was delicious. The spice level was a little high for some taste buds. However, if don't mind a little kick, it was very good. Then top it off with masala tea.
Traveling with family on Christmas Eve and walked into Zesty India. It was an absolute blessing to find excellent Indian food with admirable service. One of the best Indian restaurants in the Jacksonville area. It was so good that I did a carry out for a friend who was also traveling through Jacksonville. Contemporary decor and very clean. Will definitely return and recommend highly.
Absolutely love the Food, Service is great. I walked in and was asked "Your usual, diet coke, today?" ... and was amazed. I come every Tuesday for the lunch buffet and have never left with dissatisfaction. Food doesn't "hurt" my stomach like other indian restaurants have. Food has to be organic or something, it is bar none!!!!!
It is very clear the owners take a lot of pride in their restaurant. Very clean and great service. I usually judge local joints by the cleanliness of their bathrooms and these were super nice.
Food was fantastic and fast. Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan was amazing. (Put a picture in menu photos).

Had dinner there tonight, I was traveling and stopped in Jacksonville. We selected it because of recent high ratings on Google. The owner also replies to all reviews, it's clear they take special care and pride in their business. I'm so glad I chose this restaurant! The food was phenomenal. We requested "hot" when asked mild, medium or hot -and I'm very glad we did. I will be returning when in Jacksonville.
They give very good portion sizes and if you're a vegetarian such as myself you will find many choices which is awesome and the dish i got was very tasty. In addition to many vegetarian dishes they have lots of other menu items. The restaurant was clean and our server was very nice.
The place is well decorated. Service was fine. The main thing we goto any restaurant for, i.e. the food looked awesome and tasty. The only other Indian that can complete this here in town is India house. Try this restaurant this is awesome. And the quantity is a lot.
Addition to that they have buffet now.
Overall this is a nice restaurant and their prices are great plus they do have a buffet with several entrées. I am giving them 4 stars because they do not understand the issue of cross contamination with their menu items labeled gluten free. Their tandoori that are marked gluten free are cooked in a vessel that also is used for bread products. I would say if you have celiac and eat here be very careful and ask many questions to be certain about the cross contamination risk. Having said that, I did eat here and didn't get sick afterwards but I did have to work to figure out the safest meal.
