This is a kitschy little storefront restaurant off Roosevelt., where you will find checkered floors, mismatched coffee mugs, and country collectables displayed along with dog photos and deer heads. While it is buffet style it is more Cracker Barrel than Golden Coral. We had the Saturday breakfast buffet which is predictably heavy on meat and carbs. Fried green tomatoes count as a vegetable, right? This is good country cooking. Do not miss the cinnamon rolls.
Wow!. Second best experience I've had at a restaurant in the past 2 days. So much that I had to share each time. This was the best soulfood I have ever had! And I know soulfood. The people were friendly, and the dessert buffet was amazing.
First time at Arden's and the food was amazing! Great fried chicken and excellent vegetable variety. The creamed peas were awesome...in fact, everything was so fresh and delicious! Can't wait to go back.
Not Fancy Just Good. The Saturday breakfast buffet was so good! They offered the usual breakfast buffet fare to the less common items like fried pork chops, catfish, chicken fried steak, fried green tomatoes and breakfast bread pudding. My husband was overjoyed by the thick sliced, hearty bacon on the buffet. The customer service was great and we plan on trying the lunch buffet sometime.
This place is amazing, everything was fresh, cooked perfectly in a country way. the flavor like no other. the same for breakfast. it over pass golden coral. it's not pretty but it is worth it I will not change it for any other place. they have a vast array of plates that you can choose. they never run out of anything . price excellent. service really good.

THE best lunch buffet in town!. Don't let the word "buffet" scare you off, because what we have here is something a far cry removed from the uninspired, bland, indifferently-prepared feeding troughs of places like Golden Corral; what we have here is authentic, made-with-pride, down-home country cookin' that your Grandma would've been proud to serve!
Arden takes a great deal of pride in her food and it shows, everything is fresh, delicious, well-prepared and perfectly-seasoned. Much of the menu changes on a daily basis, but many items, particularly the veggies are daily staples, and they do not disappoint!
My personal favorite days to go are on Wednesdays when she makes a superb meatloaf that brings me back to the one my old Cajun Paw-paw used to make, along with her nearly identical creamed peas, which are to die for, and on Fridays when they serve their equally-impressive seafood feast.
If you're a fan of authentic, down-home & delicious southern cookin', don't deprive yourself a minute longer, drop in and see why this place is packed every single day!
Food is awesome. Vegetables are fresh as can be. A lot of buffet style places like this lose food quality quickly throughout the day, but the items here are changed frequently to keep them fresh. Southern food at its finest.
I have been a frequent visitor of the Hamilton st location. I am so glad there is one on my side of town. It is on Beaver right next to the Food Lion. It is the same great buffet, open until 8pm. The food is the same excellent offerings. Tons of veggies and meats. There is a bit more room as well, so no worry about waiting to eat. If you want great country food at a low price, come to Ardens. .
New Location. This is the 2nd location for Arden's, and I'm glad to report that it's just as tasty as their Hamilton St. location. This new location has the same menu and buffet, but they are open longer hours ( Tues.- Sun. 11-8) and have the following daily dinner specials as well:

I feel like I've just left my mother's table! Our lunch was absolutely perfect and so delicious. Everything was hot and tasted great..as said by all of my coworkers. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite item if I had to! It was ALL my favorite!!! Please express to your team how much we enjoyed our Luncheon. Can't wait for another opportunity to eat the food you've prepared again!!!!

Really good country cooking like your grandma used to make. We have used the catering several times. They are delicious. Not one single complaint from 20 people (which is rare). The portions are HUGE and they throw in so many extras. Everything is delicious, delivered on time and has amazing portions. It is perfect every time, delivered on time and with care. Highly recommend if you need a business lunch/dinner/breakfast catered. Pricing is also great (no picks because we ate it all)
Absolutely the BEST southern comfort food around. I grew up in a family with great southern cooks and eating at Ardens reminds me of my childhood dinner table. My granddaughter loved it too. And the service was great. We will be back soon.
I went to my sons 50th birthday party and and you catered all the food and it was absolutely delicious. Everybody was talking about how wonderful it was!
Phenomenal 30+ employee luncheon delivered at 6AM. Michelle was very responsive. Price was very reasonable. Food was all very tasty. We did the smothered chicken, pot roast, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, greenbeans. Gwen delivered on time. Thank you so much for delivering to us and exceeding our needs, at 6am, here at Walmart Distribution.
Absolutely second to none best breakfast caterer I have ever used for an office. My customers were over the moon excited and happy with their boxed breakfast. They literally had a little bit of everything that you could possibly have for breakfast all and one breakfast box for them. I will be using them over and over and over again. They hit it out of the park. Thank you so much for making my customers happy. It was a great way to start the morning off with a great group of people.
If you're looking for a good soul food place, look no further. Arden's has everything you could possibly want and the food is seasoned to perfection! The prices are great considering you get to choose from so many tasty entrees, sides, and desserts. You will definitely leave full and satisfied. I also spoke with one of the owners Michelle today. She was so kind and answered all of my questions about their catering services despite being busy with the restaurant. I appreciate the great customer service from the owners and the wait staff!
They have country cooking at its best! It's mainly a buffet, but it has alot of items. It also has a menu, but who can resist all the buffet has to offer! They replenish often, and you are treated as though you are family! It's a very laid back atmosphere. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault! Awesome food!
Very friendly staff! Very sweet and work hard! The price is hard to beat and it's one of my favorites as a local on Saturday mornings. The breakfast is amazing! Only downside is cleanliness. I think they could be a bit more thorough but nothing serious. Down home country breakfasts are the best!
I usually do not take the time to post a review. However. I was so impressed I wanted to post the experience. Ardens recently catered my nieces wedding. We are a family that knows good food. Everything was delicious. Everything. From the delicious sliced beef to the creamy chicken. The macaroni and cheese. The cornbread was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Not only was it served cooked perfectly and warm it was also served with professional and friendly staff who represented this business top notch. I don’t have an event to cater but I wish I did just to hire them. There was well over 100 people and the portions were plentiful. It’s really hard to impress me with “home style cooking” but it was certainly something worthy of a review. A perfect touch to an already wonderful event. I made a comment to one of the smiling servers that this looks like Cracker Barrell and she smiled and said Cracker Barrell could never compare to Ardens and she was right.
