Ellen's Kitchen

Discovered Ellen’s on a work trip this week. Went two days in row. The restaurant is cheerfully decorated, and the staff are attentive and friendly. I was immediately waited upon my arrival. The coffee was amazing - I am usually a coffee house coffee girl, so this is high praise!. The food arrived quickly, and hit the spot. I asked for extra crispy bacon, and it arrived perfectly. I loved watching all the locals arrive in their groups; this must be the breakfast hot spot! Will definitely return when I travel back to this area. It may only be breakfast, but you will be well taken care of at Ellen’s!

The customer service wasn’t bad … it took a very long time to get the food and when we did get it the food quality was horrible …no a single employee wore gloves and even the waitress who had been handling money was touching the same cheese that goes in the grits with their bare hands right in front of us … these where the hash browns which had nooo hash and the eggs benidict was extremely disappointing the egg is supposed to be poached and runny and it was not at all its was a boiled egg and the English muffin was hard and cold ..not cleanly and the food was horrible unfortunately.wouldn’t recommend just hit up dennys

Yummy breakfast and great service at Ellen’s Kitchen! Melissa was so friendly and made us feel like old friends. Tim came out to make sure a toast change would be ok on the French toast. Seriously, it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the freshly made corned beef hash, too. We understand why it’s apparently a local favorite. Next time we’re in town, we’ll have to stop in! Thanks, guys.

The wait for a table wasn't too long on a Sunday morning at 11:00 - about 15 minutes. The wait for the food I ordered however was more than half an hour. It was tasty when I got it, and the waitress was very nice. The woman who rang up my check though was rude. She put the charge through the credit card machine then just walked off without offering me a copy of my receipt, and when I asked for a copy she was snarky about giving me one. I don't plan on going back.
