Still in the works right now, but it's a good museum for anyone interested in the history, development, and industry of Mississippi! They have a whole host of old planes and vehicles. Also a bunch of model trains! The outdoor exhibit is cool because it was a bunch of buildings that were rescued from demolition and moved to the site for preservation. It's cheap too!

When I come to Jackson this is one of my favorite outdoor places to visit. Great museum of Ms agriculture, many old period buildings man by of which have been moved and restored from older farms. There are animals for the kids to see, a huge model train exhibit, an old cotton gin, general store and much more. In the fall there are periods re enacts, blacksmiths, weavers and spinners, cane syrup being made from sugar cane... this is a must see.

Spent 2 hours here during our family road trip. LOTS of information inside the main building; couldn't read it all in one stop! Large collection of tools & info on advancements in Agricultural technology. They had posted a QR code to access a scavenger hunt in the model train displays that our 11-year-old enjoyed tremendously. Live farm animals in the children's barn. The mock town was cool. You can walk through the cotton gin barn and a large cabin, but most buildings are viewed through a door or window. The General Store is their gift shop, and most prices were reasonable. Definitely worth the stop.

Had a field trip at this museum. It was enlightening and refreshing. I personally liked it a lot. I think my students loved it, too. Presentations were engaging and interactive.

Wonderful collection of historic farm buildings with museum about agriculture, logging and the state's agribusiness. Shameful that there are no slave quarters or plantation buildings to view, nor any exhibits about the state's horrific history of profiting from enslaved people's for the cotton trade.

Our little one went on a field trip with her daycare today and they had a great time. Lots of learning opportunities as well as fun things for them to do.

Looking for outdoor and indoor activities with history all in one place. This is a must. Plenty of cool exhibits, information of Mississippi forestry, a community from the 18/1900s, and much more.
