Review Fine & Dandy - Jackson

The waitstaff went above and beyond and I was with a large group, which can be frustrating. Waiter was patient and courteous and did an amazing job keeping 20+ people's orders straight. I had the hearty chop salad and it was GREAT!!

Awesome..clean. Delicious food. Great staff. And read the bottom of the menu. Support the cooks!! I did!

This was a fantastic little restaurant! The theme is “granny chic,” which I absolutely love! The food and cocktails were great as well! I got the catfish entree and the “Golden Girls” cocktail and both were amazing! The atmosphere is chill. They even had a memorial for Betty White! The prices were a bit expensive, so I wouldn’t bring a family of 8 in to eat. However, this is the perfect place to grab a drink after work, meet up with pals, or go on a date!

I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday at Fine and Dandy because I heard such wonderful reviews about the place. Well sadly to say my dinner turned out to be a complete disaster. I made reservations a week before my actual dinner party to only get there and had no table we and my guest waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Not only that the customer service from our waiter was horrible. The problem came in when my waiter brought my cake out…he stated there’s been a problem with my cake so I asked what’s wrong…when I looked in the box my cake was completely ruined. The only thing he could tell me was maybe the kitchen staff bumped it. That really made me upset because the waiter and the manager acted as if they didn’t have a care in the world about a mistake they made. I wouldn’t recommend this place to NOBODY!!!!

Kaylie was a great server. This is a must visit place in Jackson! Great atmosphere, good and service. I recommend the Rites of spring drink and Grandma chick sandwich and fries. Please get the ranch… it is excellent to dip your fries in. Love this place so much!! Great kids menu for kids. My son is 2 and loves the chicken tenders which have awesome breading and it comes with a side and a cookie! Great deal.

Lovely atmosphere but food and service were quite lacking. Chicken piccata had no salt or lemon. The pasta had no garlic or parmesan but rather a weird “dirty dish water” taste. WAY too many capers but even they didn’t add enough salt. I asked for salt and got a very dirty shaker that was clogged. The lemon-butter sauce was just soft unsalted butter that never even melted. We had to stack appetizer plates to make room for dinner but they weren’t picked up. Our utensils were picked up with our half eaten dinners and we had to swipe some from another table to eat dessert. The waitress was not able to observe or anticipate our needs and did not inquire about our obvious dissatisfaction with the meal. The very tiny water glass was a joke. Sure it’s an attractive shape but hardly suitable for the purpose. *It looks like an upscale venue but the food and service were extremely poor. I would have been very embarrassed had I invited guests to join us.

Excellent service. Excellent food. We went on a Friday night a d sat on the patio. They were socially distancing and the patient had plenty of heaters to keep it warm and toasty. I got the chicken a d waffles and my mom got the mushroom burger. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was Israel and he was amazing. He gave great recommendations for food and drinks and made us feel right at home! Be sure to ask for him when you go. The reviews on google were right, this place is a great restaurant!

Nice atmosphere, above average food, and decent/friendly service. I nice stop on the way through Jackson for sure. Even better if you stick around for a sweet treat or 2.

Update: I've updated my rating due to the great customer service I received after my initial review and subsequent actions taken by the management to make this right. Thanks! It was perfect the second time. Terrible service. We weren't served for an hour, and our waitress forgot about us. The restaurant was not overly busy (and even if it was, I've seen busy restaurants with harried servers do a much better job than this). Me and my friends were polite and extremely patient with this terrible service. We saw people come and go and get served faster than we did. Finally, a different server came up to us and asked if we'd been served. Note: We'd seen our original server flittering around serving others and setting up a large table for a party, but she never came to check on us after the initial drink orders. Our menus were just sitting there and we kept looking at our server, trying to get her attention. She even made eye contact but didn't help. So when the other server, who seemed to be a manager, came up and asked if we'd been served we told her no. At this point it was getting too close to the time where we needed to go to an event. We were starving and ordered fries, which were not only overpriced but weren't not good at all. (The overpriced drink was also extremely weak and watered down). I felt very unwelcome in this establishment and won't waste my time or money here again.

I love the place but I wasn’t impress about food.. shrimp that worth 10.50$ is like 4pcs and too salty .. the serving portion is really small

Today was my first visit, I really enjoyed the staff they where upbeat & super happy to be able to serve our table which was nice. The place was amazing on cleanness. My only two complaints where like any popular place noise, at one point we literally had to holler at each other across the table to hear. Second complaint would be the food was amazing � totally recommend this to anyone wanting a more upscale dining experience in Jackson.

First of all, I loved the mismatched china plates! My best friend and I went for lunch, she treated me for my birthday, and we had such a good time. Our server, I think her name was Edna, was amazing. We both got the James Beard Incident milkshake and it was sooo good! I dug every last pecan out of the bottom of that thing! I got a basic hamburger, she got the chicken sandwich and we shared an order of fries. All of it was delicious! The only thing either of us had to say about the sandwiches was they needed some salt. Then I got surprised with a piece of birthday cake and I was so excited! Overall, it was an awesome experience and I will be back! #bettywhiteeatsforfree

Awesome restaurant and a must stop for any foodie. Executive Chef Jesse Houston puts together a menu that makes your mouth water. If we had a bigger stomach we would have tried it all!

I ate there for lunch yesterday with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat outside enjoying the beautiful day. I loved the ambience and the service was attentive making for a wonderful time. The food was delicious, a mixture of southern food with fine dining touches. I especially love the deviled eggs with caviar. Not to mention my roll stuffed with shrimp and crawfish was both different (for Jackson) and delicious. We just had to top it off with a piece of cake. It was the best cake in the world! I'm definitely coming back again soon.

Their food is so delectably enticing that I want to drive all the way from Oxford, MS to Jackson to order three B&Bs with a side of their delicious tots they probably bought from Great Value brand at Walmart, tax free, but treat them like royalty nonetheless, delicately placing them comfortably upon a doily upon beautiful mismatched china, and EAT EVERY LAST BITE until I throw up in the bathroom where they have whimsical floral wallpaper and your grandma's favorite candy sitting in a bowl, relentlessly grab a fist full, and then drive back to Oxford with my pants button undone, feeling as if I brought shame upon my family.

Saw the turtle tank shake is making a comeback and it reminded me I never wrote a review! My husband and I loved this place. Our waitress, Stacey was super friendly and fast and we enjoyed talking with her. I had the B&B burger (love the bread & butter pickles, pickled red onion & dill... mm) and we had the deviled eggs and tots. I'm a banoffee fan, so I got the shake & it was incredibly good. Our water tasted awesome and I loved the "stupid floral china" (lookin' at you, David from facebook). The whole vibe of the place was really cool. Can't wait to come back! :)

I’ve enjoyed Fine & Dandy every time I’ve visited! I like them even more after my dinner the other night. I ordered off the waiter app because I was feeling lazy and when I got my food I was disappointed that some of my meal was missing. I sent F&D a message on Facebook. They called me within minutes, had waiter refund me and sent me a gift card saying sorry!

Loved it! Great place. Glad it’s in the hood. Killer water. Great salads. Great vibe. Fab wait staff.

We had my husband's birthday lunch there along with some friends. It was such a quaint and neat place! We will definitely visit here again. I highly recommend the shakes! Wow! Everything is served on fine china which makes it special.

Everything I’ve eaten or tried from there has been good! Baked cheese is delish but should be served with more ritz crackers! I love the Tater tots! Cous cous and cauliflower was also very good! The burgers and chicken sandwich I’ve tasted are good! And I love the birthday cake....but please let the servers know to check with table before they bring it and make sure guests are ready! Me and 2 of my daughters were in the bathroom when they delivered cake and sung happy birthday to my mom.....I went to fine and dandy specifically to get the cake for my mom and missed it! I was so sad! Great atmosphere! And I loved our server!

5 � for being a good sport. Our water smelled like it came from a warm turtle tank. Fast food quality burgers served on your grandmother’s stupid floral China she only used on special occasions. This place is neither fine nor dandy. Go to the Mexican place next door instead.
