Homemade and real deal is how I describe this place. First come in to the store and it can smell loud... but then you get to restaurant and eat the food and everything else just disappears. The lunch specials are good. I get the eggplant and pork hot pot... omg it is great. Family style portions so try a few dishes and share. Awesome place
Absolutely amazing! We ordered crazy spicy chicken, kung pao shrimp, rock shrimp, and egg rolls. The food is delicious!! The service was excellent!! We are from Natchez, so this was our first time here. We will recommend this gem to our friends.
This place is just simply amazing. I have been here 4 times and tried something different each time. This place is very authentic so many good dishes it's hard to name a favorite.
I had the Kuo Pao Chicken for lunch. I was so good. I was in and out in no time, and it was only $7.00. Next time I will ask for it without the peanuts.

Finally got the opportunity to try this place after reading so many reviews. With SO many items to choose from, I played it safe and ordered a familiar dish (General Tso's chicken) which was accompanied with fried rice and an egg roll. This quaint restaurant situated inside the Chinese market displayed their talents on my plate. The chicken was hot (as in temperature, not 🔥), moist and flavorful with bountiful portions. Great service, food and prices will definitely warrant a return soon.
I went due to the high ratings and wow was not disappointed. The smallest restaurant is actually inside the Chinese grocery. We all had one of the daily lunch specials all in the 7-8 dollar range, my General Tso chicken was excellent even though it could have been spicier if I had to have a fault but this is excellent Chinese.

Consistently Excellent. I don't know how I survived before Mr. Chen's. I adore this place. Not only is the market fun to explore (you can find a lot of great stuff and it's easily the most extensive Asian market in town), but the restaurant is always top notch.
I tend to order the Orange Chicken, which is wonderfully zesty and spicy, but the pineapple shrimp is quickly becoming my favorite. Both shrimp and pineapple are lightly tempura fried, which gives everything this great, hot crunch. The white rice is easily the best I've ever had. Cooked to perfection, every time.
The Crab Rangoon (wantons) are perfect. Hot and crispy with perfectly sweet and melted cream cheese filling. I always order jasmine tea here. Hot or cold, it's beautifully aromatic and refreshing. I've never been disappointed with Mr. Chen's or their prices. Very reasonable and consistently delicious. Service can be a bit slow, but it's never been so much that it hindered the experience — and when you order to-go, it's very quick.
Best Chinese food I have ever eaten! The prices are more than reasonable. Going to stop here every time I visit Jackson
