Best hidden gem of Jackson! This was the best meal we had our entire trip out west! The food was fresh, unique and delicious! The scenery and atmosphere was wonderful! The server was efficient and pleasant! Thank you for a wonderful lunch that we are still talking about!
Amazing does not do this review justice. The food, service, setting, views . . . the food (too good not to mention twice) . . . It's a great place to eat with children as well since they can explore the grounds and go into the museum after. I highly recommend Palate - the menu is inventive and creative without seeming too intimidating. Everything we ordered (apps to dessert) was cooked to perfection. I will definitely come back the next time we are in Jackson.
We ate outside, lovely porch area overlooking the Elk Refuge. Sunny day, windy but still nice outside in August. This place is popular, get there early, we did. Food was good, I got game stew and grill cheese. Definitely tasty. My Husband got Chicken salad sandwich with a beet salad. Not a lot of beets, mostly lettuce. He said chicken Salad could use more chicken, less decorations.
Waiters were great. Really nice laid back comfortable place.
Lovely atmosphere inside the National Museum of Wildlife. Food was great. Service was attentive & fast. Their sangria was a work in progress, so not my favorite or best I’ve ever had. However, I loved that they wanted feedback through a comment piece of paper. I ordered the game stew & potstickers. Both were equally flavorful in their own way, if I were to choose one over the other it would be the stew. The museum is beautiful. Highly recommend!
Incredible! Lived here two years and Palate has been the best meal I’ve had here. We started with Game Stew and followed with local Trout & Chips with a side of Jo-jo’s potatoes. Fresh and gourmet, perfect meal. The patio is relaxing and breezy overlooking the beauty of the elk refuge. The staff was so attentive and kind. Quick service and no wait at the end of August for a late lunch.

Only open from 11 to 2. Make reservations. Banh Mi with jalapenos and Elk sausage was yummy and spicy. The beet salad with goat is very tasty. Good selection of wine and beer.
Very charming lunch spot inside the National Wildlife Museum. Food is excellent, and with impressive service and atmosphere it is a must visit in the Jackson / Teton area.
This is probably the coolest, most unique spot I've ever had lunch at. I'm not even sure what to compare it to because it's literally perfect. It's max 10 minutes outside of Jackson Hole, but it's totally worth the drive. The restaurant is located at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, which is a great experience itself that you can check out after lunch or while you wait for your table. You can either choose to sit inside or outside, and of course we sat outside. The patio view had me at a loss for words. It overlooks the Elk Refugee and mountains in a distance. The view itself is worth coming here. The menu is close second.
I started off with their Bloody Mary which had a pretty spicy kick, but that's the way I like it. It was served really tall glass, so I enjoyed it for the whole meal. For appetizer we had the peaches & tomato plate. It was definitely creative and enjoyable, and I'm glad it wasn't filling because the main course portions definitely will fill you up. My girlfriend ordered the Casper Power Bowl which looked absolutely amazing, and we even paid extra $8 extra to have bison meat. I couldn't decide between their Palate Burger or the Trout Fish & Chips. Our great waitress recommended I try the Trout Fish & Chips since that's her favorite, and she didn't steer me wrong. For dessert, we shared a small Lemon Posset, which is a vanilla bean cream with fresh berries served in a really small cup.
This place was perfect, and I will forever recommend it to people if I hear they're visiting Jackson Hole. Love love love!
Tucked inside the National Museum of Wildlife Art, this restaurant is a hidden gem in a town that doesn't lack for fine eating, Super fresh ingredients, an unbeatable view and attentive service.
If you are in or around the Jackson area you must stop in! You will be greeting amazingly friendly staff in an beautiful setting inside and out surrounded by breath taking sights of nature and artwork! The food is delicious and freshly made. Portions are big enough to fill you up without being overwhelming large.
Great food, wonderful service and an amazing view. Our friends who live here told us to visit the museum and that the food was great. I didn't realize that the restaurant in the museum, Palate was operated by the Gather Restaurant Group. We had eaten a very nice meal a few days earlier at Gather in Jackson, WY so it's no surprise that Palate also had great food and service.
