Tasty food! We stopped here for a late lunch this past weekend and were happy with the food and service. The Mazda sampler platter was really good!

Good food, very flavorful and great service. On the pricey side for the amount of food you get.

Great food in a fairly small restaurant. Service was good and the food was worth the wait. The veggies on my veggie sandwich were grilled perfectly and full of flavor and the falafel was really good. Fantastic spot for our lunch.

FINALLY some good [non-Italian] Mediterranean food in Ithaca! Cool vibe, wonderful aromas, first-class service, and absolutely delectable food. A real surprise and gem! Highly recommended for anyone who likes Moroccan or Middle Eastern fare.

Great traditional Moroccan food without the restaurant prices. Very accommodating and friendly service. Only visiting for a few days but want every one to know this place exists. Owner is very personable and likes talking to all the patrons of the restaurant.

My favorite place to eat in town. The healthiest food you can find. The beef plate with baba ganoush is the best. The owner is also a very very friendly person. The place is hygienic and they play good middle eastern music. In total a great place to eat at.

I tend to hand out too many 5-star reviews. The first reason is, I tend to only review the places I like. I always feel like people who leave 3 or 2-star reviews are just kinda jerks. 1-star reviews are for warning people of something truly awful. That said, I'm going to start handing out more 4-star reviews because all my previous 5's cheapen the real 5 star spots I get to experience. The Commons Kitchen is a legit 5 Star! My fiance and I shared the Mezza, a sampler of traditional Mediterranean appetizers (think baba ganoush, pita, grape leaves, etc...) which was excellent. For entrees, I had the Berbere Lamb Tagine and she had the Chicken Couscous. Both were tender and perfectly seasoned. It was the perfect amount of food and all at an exceptionally reasonable price. This place has delicious food with unique flavors you'd have a hard time finding executed this well anywhere else in Ithaca. If you've been looking for a place like this since Istanbul closed, you'll find it again at The Commons Kitchen.

Had the salmon tagine and it was excellent. Wonderfully spiced and cooked with olives, peppers, potato, carrots, and lemon. Presented in the traditional tagine dish. You can also get a lot of your usual Mediterranean fare here, but if you’re at a Moroccan restaurant, you should eat their specials imho! The atmosphere and decor is really fun & exotic feeling. Had baklava for dessert, and the mint tea was served the traditional way, very sweet, long dramatic pour into attractive glasses. Highly recommend.

I have known Andy for a few years now and can honestly say he's always made some of the best food I've ever tasted. The Commons Kitchen as well as Ithaca are privileged to have this man's talent.

Upscale 5 star Moroccan cuisine wrapped in casual prices, generous portions, and friendly welcoming staff. My new favorite restaurant! Chef is very accommodating of allergies or other special dietary needs. Wonderful menu, including many vegetarian and vegan choices.

This is one of those hidden gems on the Ithaca Commons. It may not look like much on the outside, but this place is magical. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had these amazing fried brussel sprouts with some hot tea to start. My significant other and I both got a couscous dish, and they were superb. Check this place out, you will not regret it!

Delicious Moroccan food! Try the Zaalouk (a fragrant eggplant appetizer), the Marrackech Tagine (lamb shank, wonderfully tender), and the Bastilla (philo dough with chicken and a hint of cinnamon). Served with gracious Mediterranean hospitality.
