6/2022 4* Can't give it 5* because I got a beef. The beef was good. But I asked for dipped, dipped, dipped, and then dipped again. The guy said, oh "Baptized". I said. Ok Sounds like it. OOPS! Big mistake. It was dry as a desert. Just check the pics. Not worth it. I will go to another beef place next time.

Absolutely the best Italian beef! The service was good and the food was outstanding! You order at the counter and then they bring the food out to you. We had Italian beef sandwiches with mozzarella, cheese fries, supremo pizza, and brownies. The food is made fresh to order and is outstanding! The Italian beef spice blend is tasty! The buns were so good too! The fries are crisp and cooked perfectly. The brownies are pre-packaged- Ghiradelli brownies and are huge, moist, and delicious! We enjoyed every bite! Yum!

Had a great meal at this location. Staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. I had the cheese ravioli and they were very large and I added sausage to the dish. The chopped salad was excellent. A place I would definitely revisit on future trips to the area.

This was one of the best Italian beef sandwiches I've ever had! I got mine Baptiste (whole sandwich dunked ink the juice) and topped with cheese and sweet peppers. Delicious!

This is the first time I have visited this location. There are two ordering kiosks as you enter the front door. I'm not sure if you can order at the counter. Good menu variety. We ordered Beef Bites, Gravy Bread w/mozzarella cheese, Pizza, and a Hamburger. The gravy bread was disappointing. I would have thought the cheese would be somewhat melted, but the shredded cheese was cold and ruined the taste of the soaked bread. Other items were fine.
Clean restaurant with friendly employees.

Went at lunch time. Very busy. Food was good. Place was very cold as Temps outside was in the 60s. Kidds meal we picked apple juice but could not locate any apple juice. Cups are up front. Had to take cup to get drink. Not sure if this good idea because anyone can take cup and get drink. Overall we will try again. This time ordering on line.

I love Buona Beef and the Itasca location is warm and inviting. We were treated very nicely and the food was great. I had a spicy dog and thought it was better than Portillos dogs.

Hey they had a vegan option for Italian beef! I can't tell you how thrilled I was after recently giving up beef and meat in general. It was great to be able to get this along with my beef eating colleagues. We all know it's never as good as the real thing but this was excellent as a vegan option!

Very nice Italian style beef sandwich, real pretty food to eat and look at.
Good black pepper note in the beef, conservative on the toppings, I like more of everything on an Italian beef.
Good amount of beef juice in the bun but not toasted, missed opportunity there.
No option to bake the cheese on which I am sometimes in the mood for.
Real good onion rings, not drenched in oil.
Yep, I would do it again, 6 inch was plenty.

First time here. Ordered a beef sandwich (baptised) and a chopped salad. The beef was excellent, the perfect chicago style beef sandwich. The salad was also excellent.. Great dressing and lots of good stuff in the salad... nice clean location... all good. I will return!

This was my first time at Buona, as I was reffered here by the front desk at the Hyatt. It is a family and chain style restaurant with very nice vibe, cool decor and an open feel. The cuisine here centers around 'Italian Beef" which according to them is an Italian/Chicago tradition. I was lucky to be there on a Thursday when Pizzas are half priced. Be wary that this is a self serve restaurant. I stood by the entrance for about 5 minutes with servers going by me, and no one told me you order at the counter. Aside form that everything was great. I ordered a classic Italian "Buona Beef" 7 inch. The sandwiches meat was flavourful, tender and mixed with peppers was very good. My pizza was served hot and fresh, and it was vary good pizza. Cheesy, gooey, and just the right amount of pepperoni. They also have burgers, Ribs and other sandwiches and sides as well. The people at the counter were very helpful and helped me order my meal. The staff is attentive and helpful. Buona Beef has great food, its family friendly, and affordable. I've eaten at other locations since then.
