This place is a diamond in the rough. Great fresh seafood straight from the ocean. Friendly staff. Can't wait for my. Next trip out there.

Cozy but dated however good spot for seafood. A bit off the beaten path. Make sure you drive all the way down the alleyway. Fresh market on site if you plan on taking home some seafood as well. Very spacious outdoor seating.

Excellent sea food! You wouldn't even know this place is here. You have to drive down to the end of the dock, past the warehouse and park. Go inside and place your order at the window. Large selection of seafood and combos. Also they have New England, Manhattan, and Long Island Clam Chowder. We had the Long Island and it was outstanding. Also had the seafood bisque and it was great also. We had the fried seafood combo and it was prepared perfectly. Not greasy. Nice and crisp coating. Well seasoned. Definitely fresh seafood. You can also buy raw seafood at the counter. They have a lot of variety of fresh fish and shrimp. Live lobsters. Friendly staff. Everything came out really quickly after ordering. You can sit inside or outside right by the channel and watch the birds and boats.

We've been to Whitecap many times the food is always fresh and very good. I recommend it. Today, we had the sword fish dinner, calamari, and linguine with white clam sauce. Oh, I almost forgot the crab cake . It was all great . This place is a hidden treasure for us . I recommend 👍 👌

I'm not easily impressed, but their soups are damn good. Their seafood is good, although I'm not the biggest fan of crab, it's completely because of the work involved. I've still had my share of blue claws, but I'm more of a fan of swordfish, salmon, and mussels. The service is usually great, but if you get here during a dinner rush, be prepared to wait. Just put in your order, find a table, and enjoy the harbor while you wait.

Simple fresh casual outdoor dining and seafood market on the canal surrounded by boats. There are a few tables inside. Order inside, pick a table and wait for your name to be called out. We ordered one beer, a bottle of soda, mozzarella sticks, hamburger platter from the kids menu, baked clams and broiled sea scallops. Bill came to $64. Food prepared to order and is tasty. Great spot to go to after a day at the beach. 1 star deduction for the portable potties for the restroom. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was never there, but my friend was taking me out for lunch and wanted fish, so he took me to WHITE CAP. Well it was awesome, you sit outside under a tent in front of the water and watch the boats and birds. I loved the atmosphere. Very different type of place to eat. If you like fish go and check it out.

Decided to go on a quest to find a decent lobster roll locally for some guests that are coming up to visit. I heard that White Cap should be a contender and gave it a try. Chef told me how they make the lobster sauce fresh every morning and it really makes it taste great. The dish they served it with included French fries, cole slaw, pickle and salad. So they are now #1 in the running! So here I am several weeks later. My company arrived and we went to White Cap to try the winner of my quest for best lobster roll in the area and they came through again! My daughter experienced the same as my first experience. It is just too good to risk stopping eating and hoping the leftover will be anywhere as good the next day! (Her photo focused on the lobster roll but everything else is still included)

Hard to find as it is set way in the back of a long dirt road off main St. Once back there you can see fisherman shucking clams right off the boat so it does not get any more fresh than this!! There are only 4 or 5 tables for seating but looks like in the summer they have an outdoor clam bar. You order at the counter and it is served fresh and hot. There is also a fish market if you prefer to buy it and cook it at home. I had baby scallops with fries and Cole slaw. It was very good and portions we're so large it was actually 2 meals. Only improvement I would suggest is a thorough cleaning of the dining area, scrubbing down the tables, chairs, walls and condiment bottles.

You go in, you order, you go outside and send the most magnificent water front view you can imagine. Find a table. When they call your name, you go get your food. And it's always really good food. If you have a sunny day in Islip, it's a great place to have lunch.
