great diner, fast service good food perfect for a quick bite or to sit and hang out for a while. I worked in a few diners in my day and The Oconee is one of the best all around.

Great restraunt. I go to this place like a lot. and the view from out the window looks like a restraunt in NY City. anyways the service and the food is great. speaking of NY City, the food tastes like the restraunts there.

Wonderfu!. I grew up working in diners and eating in them too. This is without a doubt one of the best diners I have been to in a long time. The food is great, the service is friendly, the place is busy so you know the food is going to be fresh and that the coffee will be good. They take great care in decorating the restaurant for the seasons which the kids (and kids at heart) just love!! There is plenty of parking. And it is so nice to hear people greeted by name as they walk in the door. It's just a great diner!! Highly recommended!
The absolute best breakfast lunch and dinner I've ever had in New York. I would reccomend this diner to every person because their chef is fantastic and the atmosphere is great.
No matter what holiday it is, or in between them, this is an excellent diner on Long Island! They are always decked out in decorations (roof to lawn...ceiling to tables) that will put you in the holiday spirit.
Service is always great...fast, friendly, efficient servers, chefs that know how to cook, etc.
The food is large portions, so expect to bring home leftovers. We have tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner...all are great, never a disappointment. Btw, they know how to cook eggs, I know that can be a deal breaker.
I love coming here with the kids. Normally a short wait. Staff is friendly. Food comes out quick. They decorate well for holidays.
Definitely my favorite diner. Haven't been here in years, but it has always been good in the past. The holiday decorations are always over the top, and it's another reason to go.
The food is delicious and the portions are huge so come hungry. This place also decorates for every holiday so the ambiance fits the season, and there are pictures of local people, especially police officers, firefighters, and military personnel in the lobby. Despite a couple of mistakes with my order, my server Emily, was outstanding. I would highly recommended this place, and I look forward to going back.
We came here on Christmas Eve Eve. There was a wait to get in and I was told 25 minutes and got a table earlier then that. The restaurant is decorated top to bottom and so festive. I was concerned because I have two small children and it was busy so I didn’t know if the food would take awhile to come - but again I was pleasantly surprised as waitress was attentive and food came out super quick. It was all delicious! We even stayed for dessert which we never do at diners and that was also great. Would highly recommend coming here for an easy festive meal experience!
If you want to start your day full of joy & happiness, go to the Oconee Diner. The staff is awesome, it's immaculate, the food was great, the decorations are over the top, just beautiful. I actually met the owners son today what a pleasure, I had to tell him about our experience there today, he reached around and gave me chocolate chip cookies, I didn't expect that- but it was such a kind gesture. Go there you won't be disappointed
First time coming here and won’t be the last. This was recommended by a friend and I’m happy it was. The staff was friendly, the service was fast even though it was busy. The omelette was huge and the home fries were perfectly cooked and tasty. Could definitely split one. Highly recommend.

We went in tonight as we heard they did a nice holiday meal and I must say that everything was perfect. The decorations, the service, and the food were all perfect. Our waitress took great care of of us and there was minimal delay on anything which was surprising considering the place was PACKED. We will definitely go here for another holiday dinner in the future.
