Had the broiled libster it was fantastic. Daughter had the mac & cheese also great. The fried zucchini app was like eating potato chips very good! Very nice atmosphere.

Had a wonderful dinner here last night. The scotch cured salmon appetizer was better than I anticipated. Like Ruth's Chris but with creative menu options and higher class clientele. Plus, the waiter made sure my food was gluten free and knew what I was talking about! Will definitely go back.

Had a great dinner here last night. The bone in filet mignon was delicious and cooked perfectly(rare). Service was great. Will be back
I have to admit I have lived in Oceanside my whole entire life and I'm sad I haven't been to jimmy hays earlier. The steak was delicious. I got the special for the night which was like a porterhouse type steak with like a lobster bisque type topping and sauce on the sides of it. I enjoyed it so much and literally was licking the plate after. I also had the privilege of having the grilled octopus, fried zucchini, onion rings, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Everything was amazing. This restaurants only flaw is that we (myself + 3 other) came at around 6ish reservation and all and it really wasn't even that busy but we had another full table (6+) right on top of us right by the entrance. I don't know why we wouldn't be separated. Nevertheless I loved the food and will be back.
This place is always great spot to visit. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. Jimmy Hays the place to go for steaks.

Exactly what I expected from a steakhouse. To start we had the Caesar salad and lobster bisque. The price point on the starters were a bit steep but expected. We ordered the porterhouse for two which was obviously the highlight. We like our steak medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. Excited to come back.
We can't say enough about JHSH! As much as their steaks are amazing; this visit we feasted on seafood. The Shrimp Hays and Seafood Francis dishes are terrific. JHSH has the freshest seafood. Thank you, Luis for taking care of us.

It's a bit loud, but the food and the service more than make up for it. I was looking for surf and turf on the menu to no avail. Whether devine fate or not, it was one of the specials of the night! Amazing food, loved every last bite! Everything was cooked absolutely perfect. The staff was really above and beyond. Highly recommended.
A Real Steak House as everyone like ! Service was perfect ! Food was just cooked as requested (Medallions of Filet Mignon Au Poivre and ribeye of the day). Side dishes: so good, we had to finish (Brussel Sprouts and Garlic Mashed Potatoes). Good selection of wine as well.

I'm not giving a 5 star because I know anyone at this restaurant. Tuesday was my first time to the restuarant in over 40 years living in town! The owner was extremely hospitality and couldn't stop getting up to greet patrons and thank them for coming as they left. The food was perfectly done.
