We had dinner with friends. Burgers were great ! Service was quick! They added gratuity and there was no wait staff, we ordered at the counter ourselves.

What a great burger place. I had a Juicy Lucy burger with cheese, and it was the best tasting burger I have had in a while. In fact, I didn't even add the usual condiments that i usually do to make my burgers taste great because it was good without them. It's not a "fancy" place but has a real laid-back feel, and I enjoyed my lunch there. I hope to stop back before I head home to Iowa.

Not flashy on the outside, but such an amazing meal and atmosphere! Fresh catch of the day sandwich and Black & Blue burger were phenomenal. Homemade onion rings and fresh cut French fries were delicious. Then we topped it off with the apple bourbon bread pudding with homemade ice cream that was out of this world! We will absolutely be back!

Amazing burgers! I got the lamb burger it was excellent. Husband got the inside out burger. He said it was amazing and our friends got the fancy Nancy burgers and they loved theirs as well. We got the chicken wings to share and they are delicious. For sides we tried the fries, zucchini fries and smoked potato salad and they were all excellent! Thanks MEAT!

I really can’t say enough about this place. I’ve eaten there 6 or 7 times. The service is always great. They are helpful and super down to earth. The homemade sodas are really good. The inside out juicy Lucy is probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The meat is perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. The bread is always soft and fresh. Let’s not forget about the onion rings which are amazing. The beer cheese is also amazing. Pro tip, dip your burger in the beer cheese. You won’t regret it.

Got take out one night as we needed a break from seafood. Husband had the double burger and fries, he loved his. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was good but very strong vinegar taste. Asked for BBQ sauce on the side and didn't get it. Onions rings were very crispy and had a good seasoning on them.

Stopped in for some drinks and appetizers. The food was excellent and the drinks were good. Strongly recommend the pork rinds, they were so good we had to order a second round. Their homemade mustard was amazing as well.

I had a wonderful dining experience recently at MEAT Eatery And Taproom in Key Largo, Florida. Our supper was made even more enjoyable by our waiter, Sarah, who gave amiable and attentive service. The beverages were without a doubt the highlight of our trip. A beer lover's paradise, the Craft Beer Flight I purchased was delicious. Each craft beer in the flight has a distinctive flavour profile and was carefully chosen from among those produced locally and regionally. It was a fantastic way to experience some of the best local breweries firsthand. My eating companion chose the House-Made Lemonade, which was a delicious, thirst-quenching treat that was precisely balanced and great for a warm Florida day.

Captain Bob Loves their burgers! The burger had a special flavor. I can’t say I ever had. I had a burger with cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato onion with their delicious french fries. Captain Bob will return the tray that pulled pork that’s on the menu! They have a variety of food and probably something for everyone out there.

Amazing food and drinks. Among the best burgers I've had. Also had the banana bread vanilla milkshake special. Only wish I lived near this place.

Great food, interesting decor, friendly service. Very busy, very small place (looks like a hole in the wall from the street but super cool inside), took a while for food so be prepared- but it was all excellent. A great stop.

EAT HERE! Driving through the Keys you probably want somewhere outside that serves fish and conch fritters. Take a break from that! If you love meat or are a "foodie" (hate that term but it applies) do yourself a favor and stop at MEAT. The food is all homemade and house smoked. Fantastic beer selection, including FL craft brew, and a nice selection of wines. I had the BLT w house smoked bacon and fried green tomato. It was more bacon than tomato, but what do you expect from a place called MEAT? The tomato was sweet and perfectly fried, and the bacon, ohh the bacon was divine. It was served w slaw and I added a side of house made spicy pickles. While not too spicy, they were delicious fresh pickles. The only negative, if even that, would be the slaw. It was forgettable, however worked as a pallate cleanser between bacon, pickles and my husbands fries I kept stealing so I could sample the housemade ketchup and mustard. Both amazeballs. The service is friendly and knowledgable and if its a view you need, peek out the front door and you can see the water across the street as you sink your teeth into some delicious meat.<br/>@<br/>

The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Everything they have they make in house, including their ketchup and mustard. It was probably the best mustard I have ever had...careful, it's got a horseradish kick to it. My husband had the brisket which was perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth and I had the house burger. I would highly recommend both!

Easy delicious food in a laid back atmosphere. It's our go to spot on trips up and down the keys. The truffle fries are awesome as are the burgers.

Pimento cheese with roasted red peppers and bacon stuffed burger. EVERYTHING is house made..even the condiments! Loved the service-and food was insanely good.

Fabulous. A small place that makes as much of their own stuff as possible, including the ketchup and mustard. The specials looked interesting, but we decided to go off the menu. My wife had the house burger with provolone cheese added. I had the Inside-Out Juicy Lucy Burger with Cheddar instead of American cheese. Both were very flavorful and the fries were also quite good, and I am normally not a fries person. The ketchup had a hint of chipotle and worked well with the fries. I also had a Guiness Stout. We shared a Reese Peanut Butter Cup Bread Pudding, which was very smooth and tasty. If we were close by we would be regular customers.

Best Hot Dogs Ever!. We eat here regularly as they have the best Sabrett hotdogs I have ever had. Starting with the fresh, toasted bread to the push cart onions, you really can't go wrong if you are a hot dog lover like I am. The truffle fries are a must have with the hot dog so don't forget to update. Great price, great food!

Stopped today for lunch. Its a small plaza in a small plaza but let me tell you the the black and bleu burger was outstanding and the fries so yummy. We have been coming to the keys yearly for a while now abd this is one of the best places to eat. YUMMY

Stupid, crazy good. Don't go for the decor...go for the food! the mushroom burger (grilled, marinated portobello) was the best I've had and my husband's burger was perfection! Fabulously flavorful ground beef, homemade ketchup and mustard....go and then go again!!!!

Wow. Our family stopped here for lunch and we ended up having the best burger of my life. My 11 year old son was a little nervous about his fries being cooked in duck fat, but he ate them up. Fries would have been great for any kid or adult. The pub was very clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent craft beer. Please stop for lunch here if you want a great burger

Hands down best burger I have had in awhile. Had the House burger, nothing fancy but the classic Lettuce, tomato and cheese is hard to beat with a half pound of deliciously cooked burger.

The lamb burger was so good I made an urban spoon just to say that. The Oreo cookies and cream bread pudding was tdf too. This place is great!

Worth going out of your way for!. My husband and I stopped by for a quick dinner and a drink. I got the American Kobe Burger, no cheese, added bacon with the house duck fat fries. It was easily one of the top burgers I have ever eaten. Perfect proportions and a tasty bun. Crunchy fries. He ordered the Homemade Pork Rinds with Lime Cilantro Aioli. So light and crunchy. Almost see-through and seasoned nicely and the aioli was a nice addition. He also got the Islamorada Yard Bird. Juicy, crunchy, spicy fried chicken. Every bite was savory and the house mango chipotle ketchup was a good surprise.

I had the Turkey burger with fried onion strings, delicious. Hubby had the inside out juicy lucy burger with truffled bistro fries, yummy. We want to drive 5 hours just for the burgers, they're that good.

Really awesome addition to the Keys. It was high time there was a foodie place down here. We come to Islamorada two or three times a year and this place'll be on our to-dine list every time. Tonight's chicken fried quail on a waffle and Korean bbq tacoes were amazing!! We don't drink but this is obviously a beer-head's heaven. The homey desserts are also out of this world. Service is unbuttoned and super-friendly. Love this place and rlly hope it sticks around!!!

Good solid burger - husband had a standard burger and I had a lamb burger with blue cheese and onions - very very good. Fries are good and crisp, fresh made with sea salt. Eclectic beer selection, nice wines - really good place. Don't be fooled by exterior.

Can't go wrong. The food was delish. I had a burger and fries - don't remember the exact one but I do remember how wonderful it tasted. I wish we had one in Wisco!

Classy surprise!. After 10 days of fish we were ready for a change & found MEAT. Not only excellent food but very unique choices. Lamb sliders!! Lobster roll! Root beer float! You must go. You won't be disappointed. It's in a strip mall so look for it.

Best burger in recent memory. We decided to drop in after getting a rec from a coworker. the food was spectacular. we shared a cheeseburger and the lobster roll - both were just fabulous. every element on both plates was well thought out and executed with care. i could really do without thier homemade condiments, not to my taste at all, but my husband liked them. the burger was transcendental and the lobster roll was just great, nice crispy buttered rolls on both, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. we'll be back for sure. just top knotch food - couldn't ask for more from what we ordered.

Great place! Nice beer and wine selection. Food is outstanding! We had the pork rinds, onion strings, Asian Turkey burger, and an inside out loosey juicy burger. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Only problem was no room for the chorizo...<br/>staff is helpful amd not intrusive.<br/>Give them a try and you'll be addicted like us!

Worth a two-hour drive.... ...on a friend's recommendtion -- time well spent! Amazing draft beer selection complemented well-prepared eats: we had the chorizo Benedict (a weekend special, but the "chorizo patti" from the regular menu would probably be almost as good) and a "nancy pants" burger (a small version of their standard size). Had the burger rare with house-made bacon, and while it was tasty, it was easily outshone by the chorizo Benedict. (Looks like MEAT does just about everything Benedict-style on the weekend: try it!) Another shining star was the duck-fat fries which came with the burger: could have continued eating them forever...but it was not to be. Also on my menu for next time: homemade pork cracklins'...sounds like heaven!

You can’t really tell very much from the outside of MEAT Eatery and Taproom. When I walked in I had that feeling…you know the one….the “this place is gonna be great” feeling. I walk to the end of the bar and sit down and start surveying my surroundings. I notice no menus anywhere but there is some fella placing an order at the register right near the entrance with what appears to be a menu in his hands. I must have overlooked something when I walked in. Yup, there’s some Menus when you walk in with a sign that says essentially, figure out what you’d like to eat and either take a seat to order or come up to the register.

I had my first taste of MEAT at Burger Beast 's Frita Feast. MEAT's frita was really tasty and different, so I knew I had to get more 411 on this place. I called up a couple of girlfriends and planned a day trip to the keys with MEAT being the lunch stop for the day. We made our way down and once we got there (according to Google Maps) we couldn't find it. I even called the restaurant and the woman that answered the phone asked me, "Are you blind?! We're right here! There's no way you can miss us!" She insisted there was a huge sign near the road that we couldn't see for the life of us. Suffice to say, the lady on the other end of the phone was borderline rude abrasive. We finally figured out that the restaurant is actually across the street and about half a block north from where Google says it is. Once we got to the restaurant, the lady that answered the phone was there to greet us. Turns out she is half waitress and half hostess. The restaurant itself is small, cozy and casual. We l
