Amazing food and drinks. Among the best burgers I've had. Also had the banana bread vanilla milkshake special. Only wish I lived near this place.
Great food, interesting decor, friendly service. Very busy, very small place (looks like a hole in the wall from the street but super cool inside), took a while for food so be prepared- but it was all excellent. A great stop.
Food was great. We had a Juicy Lucy which was incredible. Beer selection awesome. Meat is a great option when you get tired of seafood in the keys!

EAT HERE! Driving through the Keys you probably want somewhere outside that serves fish and conch fritters. Take a break from that! If you love meat or are a "foodie" (hate that term but it applies) do yourself a favor and stop at MEAT. The food is all homemade and house smoked. Fantastic beer selection, including FL craft brew, and a nice selection of wines. I had the BLT w house smoked bacon and fried green tomato. It was more bacon than tomato, but what do you expect from a place called MEAT? The tomato was sweet and perfectly fried, and the bacon, ohh the bacon was divine. It was served w slaw and I added a side of house made spicy pickles. While not too spicy, they were delicious fresh pickles. The only negative, if even that, would be the slaw. It was forgettable, however worked as a pallate cleanser between bacon, pickles and my husbands fries I kept stealing so I could sample the housemade ketchup and mustard. Both amazeballs. The service is friendly and knowledgable and if its a view you need, peek out the front door and you can see the water across the street as you sink your teeth into some delicious meat.

The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Everything they have they make in house, including their ketchup and mustard. It was probably the best mustard I have ever had...careful, it's got a horseradish kick to it. My husband had the brisket which was perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth and I had the house burger. I would highly recommend both!

Fabulous. A small place that makes as much of their own stuff as possible, including the ketchup and mustard. The specials looked interesting, but we decided to go off the menu. My wife had the house burger with provolone cheese added. I had the Inside-Out Juicy Lucy Burger with Cheddar instead of American cheese. Both were very flavorful and the fries were also quite good, and I am normally not a fries person. The ketchup had a hint of chipotle and worked well with the fries. I also had a Guiness Stout. We shared a Reese Peanut Butter Cup Bread Pudding, which was very smooth and tasty. If we were close by we would be regular customers.
Best Hot Dogs Ever!. We eat here regularly as they have the best Sabrett hotdogs I have ever had. Starting with the fresh, toasted bread to the push cart onions, you really can't go wrong if you are a hot dog lover like I am. The truffle fries are a must have with the hot dog so don't forget to update. Great price, great food!
We had dinner with friends. Burgers were great ! Service was quick! They added gratuity and there was no wait staff, we ordered at the counter ourselves.
What a great burger place. I had a Juicy Lucy burger with cheese, and it was the best tasting burger I have had in a while. In fact, I didn't even add the usual condiments that i usually do to make my burgers taste great because it was good without them. It's not a "fancy" place but has a real laid-back feel, and I enjoyed my lunch there. I hope to stop back before I head home to Iowa.
Not flashy on the outside, but such an amazing meal and atmosphere! Fresh catch of the day sandwich and Black & Blue burger were phenomenal. Homemade onion rings and fresh cut French fries were delicious. Then we topped it off with the apple bourbon bread pudding with homemade ice cream that was out of this world! We will absolutely be back!
Amazing burgers! I got the lamb burger it was excellent. Husband got the inside out burger. He said it was amazing and our friends got the fancy Nancy burgers and they loved theirs as well. We got the chicken wings to share and they are delicious. For sides we tried the fries, zucchini fries and smoked potato salad and they were all excellent! Thanks MEAT!
I really can’t say enough about this place. I’ve eaten there 6 or 7 times. The service is always great. They are helpful and super down to earth. The homemade sodas are really good. The inside out juicy Lucy is probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The meat is perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. The bread is always soft and fresh. Let’s not forget about the onion rings which are amazing. The beer cheese is also amazing. Pro tip, dip your burger in the beer cheese. You won’t regret it.
Got take out one night as we needed a break from seafood. Husband had the double burger and fries, he loved his. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was good but very strong vinegar taste. Asked for BBQ sauce on the side and didn't get it. Onions rings were very crispy and had a good seasoning on them.
Stopped in for some drinks and appetizers. The food was excellent and the drinks were good. Strongly recommend the pork rinds, they were so good we had to order a second round. Their homemade mustard was amazing as well.

I had a wonderful dining experience recently at MEAT Eatery And Taproom in Key Largo, Florida. Our supper was made even more enjoyable by our waiter, Sarah, who gave amiable and attentive service.
The beverages were without a doubt the highlight of our trip. A beer lover's paradise, the Craft Beer Flight I purchased was delicious. Each craft beer in the flight has a distinctive flavour profile and was carefully chosen from among those produced locally and regionally. It was a fantastic way to experience some of the best local breweries firsthand. My eating companion chose the House-Made Lemonade, which was a delicious, thirst-quenching treat that was precisely balanced and great for a warm Florida day.
Captain Bob Loves their burgers! The burger had a special flavor. I can’t say I ever had. I had a burger with cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato onion with their delicious french fries. Captain Bob will return the tray that pulled pork that’s on the menu! They have a variety of food and probably something for everyone out there.
