Coffee Collaborative

Great stop close to campus for a quick cup of coffee. Has a cool, west-coast vibe. I grabbed a cup of light roast, and it was great. Don't expect the fancy hipster coffee artisan crowd here. Friday morning clientele seem to be mainly students studying or recovering from the night before. The wifi was spotty, and the coffee bar could use a bit of cleaning, but nothing too overtly awful. Overall, great little spot in IV if you're looking for a solid cup of coffee and a cool environment.

The one an only... It's been in IV for at least ten years. The staff is nice, fast internet, plugs and the teas are the high light. Not my favorite coffee though which is why four Starz. You have to be openminded and chilled out to study here as music volumes vary greatly as does company. Don't be surprised if one of the IV urban outdoorsman come to Skype his mom or sister. Lots a cigarette smoke at times as well.

Absolutely not the place to go for espresso drinks. I asked for an Americano, which is literally the second-easiest espresso drink to make (shot of espresso, add a little hot water). The first barista (with, I must say, a rather glazed look in her eye) didn't seem to know what it meant. The second barista walked her through it, and what I ended up with was a very large cup of water with a little coffee flavor to it. In the same visit, I ordered a decaf cappuccino (which was served as a very wet latte) and neither of the baristas could keep track of which of the drinks was supposed to have caffeine. I believe they asked me three times which was which. In their defense, I think both baristas were high at the time, so maybe it wasn't exactly the fault of the cafe that their employees knew their jobs so poorly.
