Small town diner experience from old school Americana. A favorite place (especially for breakfasts!), friendly staff, and gluten free options.

Hometown restaurant standard. No-frills food, service and atmosphere. If mounted bucks, fish, and game on the walls offend you, I would suggest Big Boy. I've eaten here for many years, and over three or four owners. Over-tip the waitresses, they work long and hard hours. What to have? The cudighi is good, as is the potato sausage, eggs, and limpu toast for breakfast. Fish fry on Friday is always crowded, but really good.

Relaxed, home town restaurant that serves up good food for reasonable prices. If you in the area drop in. Servers are all very polite and it's worth taking the time to stop by if you're passing thru

A wonderful lunch stop on our family trip. I tried the Missouri Special since I am from Missouri, and it was very good. I would gladly try it again if I am very back up to the UP.

The staff and the chef/owner were the highlights of our visit. We were here for the fish fry, and they did not disappoint. Options were cod, lake trout (local), whitefish (local), and salmon. We ordered 1+ of each except the cod. And they were fried and/or grilled to perfection!

I don't do 5 stars. But Buck's is exception to my rule. I enjoyed everything about the place. I also think the 10 point buck burger could be the best burger in the UP.( FYI for you burger enthusiasts.
