I ordered Combination Stir Fried Noodle and Pork Meatball Soup here. They were so delicious! Not very healthy (too greasy), but really yummy. The environment is good, the waiter is polite, and the price is quite reasonable. Recommend it.

Edit 2/2015: I went back since they changed owners and the place got significantly better. Great drink deals with an upbeat atmosphere now. Not much to say here. Nothing special really hopped out from the menu. The atmosphere was kind of sad also.

I'm surprised to find a fairly authentic Taiwanese Izakaya place in the Diamond Jamboree plaza, most other places in the plaza seems pretty Americanized. The Balcony is better as a hangout place with friends than a family dinner spot. The food offered is pretty typical of a taiwanese place, ranging from hotpots, to popcorn chicken, to fried chicken/pork noodle soup. I had the pork noodle soup, and also tried the popcorn chicken. Although both dishes are not exceptional, they are on par with authentic taiwanese places found in Rowland Heights/Alhambra. I'm surprised that this place is not more popular given the lack of similar offerings in OC. If you are looking for chill spot to hang out with friends over decent drinks and authentic Taiwanese fares, the Balcony is for you.
