We love going to Boudin in San Francisco, and were delightfully surprised to find one close to our hotel in Irvine.
The chicken club had super crispy bacon, and very fresh avocado, it was just perfect. The sourdough bread bowl with chowder is always perfection. Super quick and friendly service, and if you sign up for rewards, you get a free bread every month you make a purchase.

I loved my yummy sour dough chowder bread bowl. My hubby did not like the pork chipotle sandwich and his salad was drenched in dressing (remember to ask for dressing on the side!). Service was ok, but there was no ice in the drink machine.

Great for dine in or take out (late) breakfast or daytime meal. Friendly staff and modest seating indoors with a few outdoor tables. Great bread and sandwich selections from the famed bakery chain.

This place is the closest Boudin location to UCI. There was plenty of seating but most of the parking will be found a little bit closer to souplantation. The clam chowder bread bowls are as good as ever. Would definitely go back again. Great atmosphere for casual dining.

Really quick service and friendly staff. Soup and bread is great, but I did find the soup really salty. It was perfect when I poured in a bunch of water, but the texture of the soup was obviously no longer the same.

Boudin is great for a quick lunch. There's ample parking outside as it's located in a theater complex. The line is generally short, and the service quick. Nice staff, friendly birds outside. Their clam chowder in a bread bowl is tough to beat.

The sour dough was crunchy and flavorful as well as the soup. The shrimp was a bit small and few but it was buy one get one free deal for stews so it was worth splitting with a friend. Do note the clam chowder is not part of the deal for the stew. Only small time promotion. Else pretty pricey for stew in a bread bowl. Ate here for lunch and one bowl of soup was filling enough since it came with a side of chips or salad.
