Love the food and the people but recently learned that they pool all tips for a week. That means that an employee that works only 2 days gets the same amount as those that work 5 or more. The GM also takes their share. These workers work minimum wage $9.00 an hour and can't keep their own tips?
I've been going to La Pinata since I was a little girl and when I come home to the desert to visit and need authentic Mexican food, this is the place. Plus the signed Danny Glover photo in the front is amazing. If Glover likes it, you know it's good.
Good service and good food. Good menu, what more are you looking for? And the waitresses do keep tips (new management rules).
Friendly staff, good food, nicely decorated, live music, cheap price.
